    Production Supervisor JM Huber is seeking a Production Supervisor at Active Minerals International, a Kaolin Clay production facility in Aiken SC. This position supervises all production employees on a shift and is responsible for ensuring efficient employee and equipment productivity while maintaining a safe, healthy, and positive work environment. Bonus yearly 401k company contribution of 5%; 5-year vesting schedule Principal Duties apply company policies consistently while demonstrating the Huber value of "Respect for People." Optimize productivity by reducing equipment downtime through preventive/predictive maintenance, root?cause analysis, and continuous improvement of operational and maintenance procedures. Ensure compliance with all Huber policies, safety regulations, and applicable state and federal laws. Learn all key production positions to effectively train employees and provide operational coverage when needed. Report all EHS concerns or incidents to management for timely resolution. Maintain adherence to the Huber Sustainability Management Standard within areas of responsibility. Support the introduction of new or revised products and process improvements. Maintain adequate inventory of required safety and packaging supplies. Provide employee coaching, counseling, evaluations, and discipline when necessary. Conduct annual performance evaluations and maintain effective communication with employees across all shifts. Ensure completion of equipment reports each shift and communicate maintenance needs, including after?hours issues. Conduct daily inspections to ensure cleanliness and organization of all plant and warehouse areas. Compile and submit shift production and downtime reports. Meet or exceed production targets for bagging and milling operations; create production orders as needed. Collaborate with lab personnel for quality checks and blending. Establish SMART goals for team members, provide monthly coaching, and evaluate performance. Follow all applicable QMS procedures and maintain ISO-compliant documentation. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills: HS Diploma or GED required. Two or more years of college, with a focus on manufacturing, operations, safety, mining, or business management preferred. One to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent work experience. Strong moral and ethical standards. Proficient with computers and experience with Microsoft Office applications. Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate various production equipment. General working knowledge of MSHA safety regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively lead others utilizing coaching, mentoring and teamwork skills. Physical Requirements: Work is performed mostly in a production environment. Position requires lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 55 lbs. on a regular basis. Able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop and climb up to 70 feet. Able to operate hand and foot controls simultaneously. Manual dexterity required for operation of hand controls and/or computer keyboard. Vision and a sense of hearing are also required. Must have a valid driver's license.
