    Position Title: Estimator Commercial Flooring

    Location: Plano, TX

    Salary Range: $80,000$100,000


    About the Role

    An established commercial flooring contractor with over $50M in annual revenue is expanding its estimating team. This organization specializes in education (primarily K12), healthcare, athletic facilities, corporate spaces, and other commercial segments, with active efforts to expand market reach.


    The team is seeking aCommercial Estimatorwith a background in subcontractor work such as flooring, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing. The ideal candidate will have at least 35 years of estimating experience on commercial projects and will thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.


    This position isonsite, with very limited travel (primarily conducted by the lead estimator), and will join a growing estimating team that currently includes five professionals, with the goal of expanding to seven or eight.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze and interpret project drawings and specifications for commercial flooring bids
    • Use internal systems to submit competitive bids
    • Perform accurate material take-offs using Measure Square software
    • Apply pricing in coordination with internal pricing specialists
    • Manage a portfolio ofapproximately 20 projects at various stagessimultaneously
    • Coordinate hand-offs to project management teams after bid award
    • Respond to RFIs and clarifications during the bidding process
    • Communicate with internal teams regarding project requirements and updates
    • Collaborate closely with the Lead Estimator and broader operations team


    Qualifications

    Must-Have:

    • 35 years of estimating experience in commercial construction
    • Background in commercial projects such as schools, hospitals, or corporate facilities
    • Experience with subcontractor trades (e.g., flooring, HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
    • Proficiency withCAD
    • Proficiency withMeasure Squareor similar take-off software
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple bids concurrently
    • Understanding of construction drawings and specs


    Nice-to-Have:

    • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
    • Prior experience in commercial flooring (a strong plus)

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial Management & Operations

    Cash, Treasury & Systems

    • Monitor working capital, oversee AP/AR, and support treasury functions
    • Maintain QuickBooks and lead the transition to Sage Intacct with the UK team
    • Improve finance processes and support ERP implementation


    What You Bring

    • CPA or MBA preferred
    • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 57+ years of progressive experiencein financial control or audit, preferably in an agency or project-based services environment
    • Strong knowledge ofUS GAAPand practical experience withIFRS
    • Experience with multinational reporting and intercompany transactions
    • Proficient inExcel,QuickBooks (required), andSage Intacct (preferred)
    • Track record of managing audits and working with external advisors

    Qualifications

    • Must have five years experience in this position with a Commercial General Contractor
    • High-end structural concrete background with expertise in premium finishes.
    • Experience in Procore, Timberline, Microsoft Office Programs, and P-6 scheduling (or similar) software is desired.
    • Desired project experience includes, but is not limited to: Industrial / Big-Box / Tilt-Up, Office, Education, Retail, Aviation, Medical, Multi-Family, Federal/Municipal, Hotel/Timeshare, Hospitality/Casino, Sports/Recreation, Parking Structures, or Tenant Improvement/Renovations
