    The General Help role is an entry-level position in the production department of our bakeries. This role performs various essential duties and tasks including box construction, packing and quality control. This role is a great way to get introduced to manufacturing and begin a long-term rewarding career.

    Role & Responsibilities

    Follow all standards and general manufacturing procedures Reviews list of the current production run.Communicate information with other employees on the same line/area.Ensure the proper handling, stacking, and movement of ingredients and bakery products.Complete quality check sheets, dough schedule recording, taking temperatures of product, housekeeping and working in a safe manner.Communicates any issues to the proper Supervisor or Manager.Perform box construction, packing, and quality control duties as part of the production process.Operate and monitor and troubleshoot food machinery safely and efficiently. Review the current production run and communicate any necessary adjustments.Complete required quality control tasks, including recording dough schedules, checking temperatures, and documenting on quality check sheets.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards within the work area, following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

    Qualifications:

    Read, comprehend and practice necessary safety procedures and signs. Experience operating machineryWilling to work irregular and/or rotating shifts, including split days off (non-consecutive days off) and working holidays and weekends as requiredAbility to arrive at work on time consistently. Must be 18 years or older

    Essential Physical Requirements:

    Packing General Help will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient assembly and packaging of products. The primary focus will be on placing the correct number of products from the assembly line onto trays or into cases, contributing to the overall quality and success of our production process.

    Role & Responsibilities

    Verify the proper codes on bags and/or cases, ensuring legibility and accuracy.Check and ensure the proper packaging materials are consistently used.Stack trays of bread 16 trays high.Regularly inspect package seals to maintain quality standards.Communicate effectively with Machine Operators, Lead Persons, and Packaging Supervisors to address any issues promptly.Removing products from the line and placing them on appropriate racks/trays during machine stoppages.Performing quality inspections as directed by Supervisors or Lead Persons.Promoting safety practices across all areas of operations.Upholding cleanliness standards in the work area.Always Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.’s).

    Warehouse General Help

    You will play a pivotal role in the efficient operation of our warehouse. Your primary responsibility will be the unloading of all ingredients in designated areas, ensuring adherence to company security policies and maintaining accurate inventory records.

    Role & Responsibilities

    Unload all incoming packaging deliveries following company security policies.Maintain all items in designated areas.Perform Pre & Post Checks on vehicles upon daily use.Conduct daily inventory of packaging and determine items to be sent to the plant.Daily pulling of all packaging from warehouse inventory, transfer to West Building, and stocking of the West Side.Collaborate with Scaling Group Lead to ensure all scaled doughs are delivered to production after departing for the day.Conduct daily inventory of ingredients and determine items to be sent to the plant.Daily pulling of all ingredients from warehouse inventory, transfer to East Building, and stocking of the East Side.Perform all sanitation duties at the warehouse.Perform any additional duties assigned by the warehouse manager as needed.Maintain a safe working environment for all employees/contractors/visitors by following safety guidelines and reporting incidents to management.Promote employee safety in all areas of operations.Maintain cleanliness in the work area.Always follow proper Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.’s).Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

    Must have a valid Driver’s License and must obtain and maintain a D.O.T. Certification.Must be able to count and perform basic math.Must be able to read and comprehend department materials and load sheets.Capable of lifting or maneuvering up to 50 pounds.Must be able to stand for long periods.Must be able to reach approximately 7 feet high to move products.Physically capable of moving to all areas of the plant.Must be able to view products and determine adherence to quality control standards, including size, shape, color, cut, etc.Must have one (1) year of forklift experience.Must be able to perform all duties without causing damage.Must be able to read, comprehend, and practice necessary safety procedures, signs, etc.

    Shipping General Help

    Specializing in Trailer Loading plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient loading of products onto trailers, following load sheets, and upholding the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.

    Role & Responsibilities

    Move product (stacks or racks) from packaging lines to the appropriate trailer or staging area.Maintain organization in product staging areas and lines.Load products from the staging area to trailers, ensuring proper stacking and preventing shipment of damaged items.Remove out-of-code products, consistently checking date and price codes, and label accordingly.Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, including Bond St. Platform, private label dock, D-Center loading area, and the empty tray area.Work on the platform, including unloading inbound (purchased) products.Complete paperwork (load sheets, block sheets) with accuracy and neatness.Perform trailer checks, including sweeping and checking for damage.
