Job Summary:
The hotel housekeeper ensures guest rooms and public areas are clean, sanitary, and comfortable. This role is essential to creating a positive guest experience by upholding high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and tidy guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
Replace linens, towels, and toiletries
Clean bathrooms thoroughly (toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors)
Replenish room supplies such as soap, shampoo, and coffee items
Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
Clean hallways, lobbies, and other public areas as assigned
Follow hotel safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
Handle guest belongings with care and respect privacy
Respond to guest requests (e.g., extra towels or amenities)
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, not always required)
Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Attention to detail and strong work ethic
Physical stamina (standing, bending, lifting, and walking for long periods)
Basic communication skills
