Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Multispecialty Care team. Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge to coordinate and perform hands on acute patient care at the bedside. Position Specifics: o Department: Ministry Float o Core Function: Nursing o Schedule: Night Shift, 36 hrs / wk, 7p to 7a o Facility: St John’s Hospital o Location: Springfield, IL o Sign On Bonus: Up to $35,000 o Compensation that aligns with your experience The Registered Nurse (RN)-IL Ministry Float is designated to float to units within specialty area(s) based on the RN competency level. Completes appropriate competency and cross-training required to float to designated units. Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families, and supervising assigned team members. Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following nursing philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations. Float may be assigned to units/ministries reflecting lower level patient acuity based on needs of the organization. HSHS St. John’s Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Adult Care float pool (Critical Care or Medical.) Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply clinical knowledge in our patient care areas of greatest need covering a variety of departments and wide range of conditions. Our float RN’s provides coverage on units due to high patient acuity and census. Critical Care Float – Adult ED, CVICU, ICU Medical Float – IMC, neuro/oncology/surgical, orthopedics and medical units Position Specifics: o Department: Float Pool o Schedule: Full time, 36 hrs/wk, Nights (7p-7a) and weekend rotation o Facilities: St. John’s Hospital o Location: Springfield, IL o Sign On: Up to $20,000 for external candidates o Compensation that aligns with experience Education Qualifications Diploma or Associates degree in nursing is required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. Experience Qualifications 1 year of relevant clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in specialty area is preferred. Certifications, Licenses and Registrations Illinois: Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required. Wisconsin: Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.Certification in area of specialty is preferred but, in some cases, may be required to float.
