As a Professional Engineer for Roadway, you will be responsible for a variety of projects, taking ownership from start to finish.
    What are the core responsibilities for the role?Design and analysis of freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trailsPrepare studies, reports, memos, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of transportation projectsWork under the direction of a Project Manager to lead the roadway design discipline and to coordinate and integrate the other associated design disciplines on projectsSupport project managers with client relations, stakeholder coordination, and sub consultant managementTake ownership of projects from start to finish, with attention to quality, budget and scheduleInterface with coworkers to achieve shared success
    Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineering license in state of employment or ability to obtain within one year of hire5-10 years of experience in roadway transportation engineeringExperience working on multidisciplinary project teamsSolid background in AASHTO roadway geometric design criteriaProficiency using Bentley and/or Autodesk civil design softwareKnowledge of DOT standards and plan preparation proceduresDrainage design and/or traffic engineering experience is a plusSolid written and oral communication skillsSelf-motivated, with strong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency with MS Office applicationsA desire to grow personally and professionally with each project assignment
