Position Summary
Supports financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance across GAAP frameworks. This role contributes to accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and ongoing process improvements within a regulated broker dealer environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support GAAP financial reporting on a segment and consolidated level, external SEC reporting for public company, FINRA reporting for broker dealer. Prepare and reconcile accounts including cash, investments, expenses, securities products, and equity accounts. Maintain SOX-compliant internal controls, including documentation and support for IPEs. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and recurring financial reports. Partner with business teams on initiatives, system changes, and regulatory updates. Assist with responses to external auditors and regulators. Identify and recommend process improvements; perform peer review of work.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Foundational knowledge of GAAP accounting. Experience with financial systems and reporting tools preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Position Summary
The Regional Supervisory Principal is responsible for the oversight and supervision of registered representatives and investment adviser representatives to ensure adherence to FINRA, SEC, and state regulatory requirements. Essential Job Functions
Oversee and review the activities of registered representatives and investment adviser representatives for compliance with FINRA, SEC, and state regulations. Conduct daily, weekly, and periodic reviews of transactions, new accounts (post-transaction), and client correspondence-including email and social media-for suitability and compliance with firm policies. Provide guidance and support to financial professionals on complex compliance issues, firm policies, and regulatory updates. Conduct internal audits and branch examinations to assess supervisory controls and identify potential deficiencies. Participate in the firm's annual compliance review and assist with preparation of required reports. Identify, monitor, and escalate potential sales practice concerns, conflicts of interest, and other high-risk activities. Develop and deliver compliance training programs for new and existing staff to ensure understanding of regulatory obligations. Manage heightened supervision programs for representatives with disclosure events or escalated concerns. Document supervisory plans and maintain ongoing oversight of supervised individuals. Provide regular supervision reports and updates to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). Track supervisory metrics, analyze trends, and escalate systemic issues for corrective action. Stay current on changes to federal and state securities laws and communicate updates to firm leadership and personnel. Apply strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-assessment skills to anticipate potential issues. Demonstrate deep knowledge of FINRA, SEC, and state securities regulations as applicable to registered representatives and investment adviser representatives. Maintain strong attention to detail and effectively manage multiple priorities. Ability to travel less than 25% of the year.Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. 7-10 years of experience in a compliance or supervisory role within the financial services industry, with experience in both broker-dealer and RIA operations. Strong knowledge of FINRA rules, SEC regulations, and state securities laws. Experience supervising variable annuities, mutual funds, alternative investments, and retirement plans. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Partner with Marketing and Field Sales teams to develop strategies to drive profitable growth. Where necessary, develop marketing strategies and P & C strategies to respond to opportunities to drive growth or address profitability issues. Maintain relationships with state regulatory departments and negotiate approval for rate and product changes. Define underwriting appetite and work with P&C Underwriting to establish and enforce underwriting guidelines. Provide business leadership for addressing regulatory changes, business errors or other unforeseen problems. Communicate as needed with agents, field leaders, vendors, and other constituencies on state strategies, system initiatives, and P & C initiatives to achieve key strategic goals. Leverage AI and other tools to help build statewide strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus. CPCU or other insurance designation a plus Minimum of 7 years in P&C product management, product development, underwriting, and/or risk management, preferably with a national or super-regional carrier. Direct or indirect leadership experience. Experience operating in a matrix environment is also required given the multifunctional nature of execution of initiatives.Additional Information

Pay Range:

Partner with actuarial and finance teams on projections, reserve impacts, and asset-liability management (ALM). Support the design, enhancement, and execution of the company's ERM framework in alignment with National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and Own Risk and Solvency Assessments (ORSA) requirements. Identify, assess, and monitor key risks including underwriting, market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks. Lead risk assessments, scenario analysis, and stress testing (e.g., interest rate shocks, catastrophe events, lapse risk). Prepare risk reports and dashboards for senior management and the Board. Collaborate with business units to develop and track risk mitigation strategies.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field. 5-10+ years of experience in insurance risk management, actuarial, corporate finance, investment banking, or strategy. Strong understanding of insurance fundamentals (reserving, pricing, reinsurance, ALM). Experience with capital frameworks such as RBC and/or economic capital models. Progress toward or attainment of FSA/ASA, CFA, or MBA strongly preferred. Advanced Excel skills; experience with modeling tools (e.g., Python, R, VBA, Prophet, AXIS, or similar) is a plus.Key Competencies
