    As a Sr Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead and manage advanced engineering projects that drive innovation and deliver high-impact solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, develop detailed plans, and ensure successful execution aligned with business objectives.

    You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Fort Mill, SC location on a Hybrid work schedule.

    In this role, you will impact the successful delivery of complex engineering projects, contribute to the advancement of technology, and support Honeywell's commitment to excellence and innovation in the industry.

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Be responsible for partnering with Marketing to clarify project objectives, scope, and requirements. Leverage existing organizational resources to define a clear project investment baseline, including timeline, cost, and key product performance indicators.
    • Be responsible for software development, planning and execution across multiple sprints or releases.
    • Be responsible for data-driven reporting (velocity, burn-down, delivery predictability).
    • As a project owner, rigorously manage scope changes throughout the project lifecycle. Clearly capture new scope creep if comes out, evaluate impacts on schedule, cost, and performance, and lead the team to make informed decisions on whether to proceed with scope changes.
    • Treat risk management as a top daily priority, proactively identifying and mitigating risks ahead of the team's awareness, and leading preventive actions before risks materialize.
    • Anticipate and assess potential risks that may result in schedule delays or cost overruns, ensuring early detection, rapid problem resolution, and effective containment of impacts.
    • Act as the "General Manager" of the project, demonstrating strong ownership and accountability for the project's end-to-end commercial success, from development through successful market introduction.

    Qualifications

    YOU MUST HAVE
    • 6 years of experience in advanced engineering project management with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
    • Be able to communicate with different levels of key stakeholders.
    • Bachelor's degree of Mechanical, Electronics, etc engineering background education.
    • Must be familiar with software product development process tools, including but not limited Delivery & collaboration & schedule tool.
    • 5 years proved successful new product development experience in software development, with Agile delivery tools (such as Jira or similar) to actively manage backlogs, sprints, and release.
    • Ability to lead/drive, motivate people and encourage team work from gentle or stiff way.
    • Expert Office software skill including Micro project, power point, and Excel
    • PMP certification is a must.
    • Strong expertise in project planning, risk management, and resource coordination to ensure project success.
    • Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies such as MS Project or equivalent software to develop and track project schedules and budgets.
    • Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders to drive project objectives and resolve technical challenges.
