Program: Vocational Nursing
Education: Master’s degree in Nursing, Nursing Education.
Licensure: Current, unencumbered RN license for California
Teaching Experience: Minimum one year of teaching experience in nursing education.
Clinical Experience: Minimum 2 years direct patient care experience as RN
Administrative / Leadership Experience:
Supervising faculty, curriculum development, program assessment/accreditation, budget oversight, policy development, and sometimes recruitment of faculty. Strong skills in evaluation, program outcomes, and regulatory compliance.
Interpersonal / Leadership Skills:
Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work effectively with diverse student, faculty, and staff populations. Capacity to lead program improvements and strategic planning initiatives.

License: A current, active California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Academic / Educational Background and Experience Requirements
BSN (or Bachelor’s Degree in related field if currently an LVN) with minimum 2 years of nursing experience
ADN (or Associate Degree in related field if currently an LVN) with minimum 6 years of nursing experience
A valid teaching credential preferred
Competence:
Must demonstrate clinical competence in the subject area being taught (skills, theory, or clinical instruction).
Needed current nursing experience for the past 6 years preferably.
