Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummary The Master Electrician performs all of the functions of an Electrician “A” and will work without supervision. He or she must also possess the skills necessary to complete a job without the assistance of other Maintenance Shop personnel. This position reports directly to the Supervisor of the Electric Shop.Essential Duties and Responsibilities· Effectively troubleshoots electrical control circuits· Modifies existing control circuits and designs new circuits as necessary to provide proper machine operation· Disconnects & reconnects piping, coupling installation & alignment, drilling & tapping· Must be familiar with PLC operation and troubleshooting· Analyzes the breakdown for cause, corrective actions and evaluate other possible damage· Specifies required parts and fills out paperwork for ordering or re-ordering· Is subject to 24 hour call.· Performs other duties as directed.Education and/or Experience· High School Diploma· At least 5 years experience in a manufacturing or factory environment· 4 Years of apprenticeship; preferred but not requiredQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
