    Summary

    The Master Electrician performs all of the functions of an Electrician “A” and will work without supervision. He or she must also possess the skills necessary to complete a job without the assistance of other Maintenance Shop personnel. This position reports directly to the Supervisor of the Electric Shop.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    · Effectively troubleshoots electrical control circuits

    · Modifies existing control circuits and designs new circuits as necessary to provide proper machine operation

    · Disconnects & reconnects piping, coupling installation & alignment, drilling & tapping

    · Must be familiar with PLC operation and troubleshooting

    · Analyzes the breakdown for cause, corrective actions and evaluate other possible damage

    · Specifies required parts and fills out paperwork for ordering or re-ordering

    · Is subject to 24 hour call.

    · Performs other duties as directed.

    Education and/or Experience

    · High School Diploma

    · At least 5 years experience in a manufacturing or factory environment

    · 4 Years of apprenticeship; preferred but not required

    · Able to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in mathematical, written or oral form

    · Able to interpret written and oral instructions, and to read, analyze and interpret, operating & maintenance instructions or regulations

    · Exposed to an appreciable amount of unpleasant work conditions; heat, dirt, dust, oil, wetness and other variables.

    This is a Clerical position which could be part-time or full time. Benefits available to full time employment only. Job Summary: 1. Upon receipt of requisitions from departments, selects vendor based on price, availability and service; places orders and follows up to assure on time delivery. Marks purchase order to indicate whether items are subject to NJ sales tax. In some instances, verbal requests are received and information provided in respect to price availability and service prior to receipt of requisitions. This type of service is provided for materials and supplies such as: cork, office furniture and fixtures, oils and greases, shop tools, printing materials, electric motors, electrical and mechanical parts and supplies and other regular and special items, as requested. 2. For materials and equipment for capital replacement, expansion and improvement, vendors and specifications are usually selected by Engineering, Laboratory, Production, etc., but Purchasing Department places orders. Orders are placed weekly for fuel oil, based on predetermined price and supply. 3. Secures quotations for office equipment, supplies, miscellaneous forms, etc. Maintains currently accurate files on catalogs, prices, literature, etc. Secures catalogs on special items upon request. Maintains all contracts for office equipment, etc., and insurance certificates on outside contractors. 4. Checks acknowledgements of purchase orders for agreement with original. Puts G/L codes on all POs. Files all POs on a daily basis. Opens mail and arranges in an orderly manner for PURCHASING AGENT/BUYER. 5. Works on computer putting orders on system, updating pricing information, etc. Updates budget reports on a daily basis. Tracks "on hold" list on a daily basis. 6. Attends appropriate pertinent meetings of purchasing groups, as required. Works closely with PURCHASING AGENT/BUYER to make sure department is running efficiently and up-to-date. 7. In absence of PURCHASING AGENT/BUYER, greets and directs salespersons to proper individuals. 8. Performs miscellaneous jobs as directed.

    Summary

    Under the supervision of the Machine Shop Supervisor performs a wide variety of mechanical repairs and equipment maintenance in the Machine Shop and in the various production departments. This position reports directly to the Machine Shop Supervisor.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Makes adjustments or repairs, as assigned and scheduled daily inspections by specific and general oral instructions, to pumps, compressors, belting, drivers, blowers or other mechanical equipment.

    Does routine lay out work such as measuring and marking location points for drilling or for positioning brackets and frame work.

    Dismantles mechanical equipment for major overhaul or maintenance service, makes repairs, makes brackets, replaces repaired part, or new part, or part which has had major repair, assembles roll ends using torch, (does minor welding), and reassembles equipment.

    Sets up and operates single spindle drill presses, power hacksaws, portable drills and grinders.

    Uses (oxy-acetylene and electric resistance welders), a variety of mechanic’s hand tools, such as hammers, chisels, wrenches, drills and files, etc.

    Occasionally fabricates frame work and metal supports.

    Assists or work under direction of Machinist installing new equipment – or performing major repair work.

    Operates forklift, tow truck, or aerial lift as required.

    Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition.

    May be assigned to any shift as needed.

    Performs other duties as directed.

    Individuals will be required to work overtime as necessary.

     

    Education and/or Experience

    High School Diploma

    Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment

    5+ years of related experience

    Fork Lift Certification

     

    Must pass a drug screen, physical and criminal background check

    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

    Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours

     

    Fluency in English

    May require sitting or standing for extended periods of time
