Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary: We are currently seeking a Air Compressor Field Service Technicians to service the San Antonio, Texas region. The Field Service Technician performs field support activities, which involve start-up, preventive and corrective maintenance within the assigned territory. The selected candidate will possess air compressor repair experience, knowledge, and skills for effective utilization of related equipment and proven troubleshooting processes and procedures. Responsibilities/Requirements: Must have 5 -10 years electrical/mechanical industrial experienceKnowledge of customer equipment operations, able to read and interpret blueprints.Must be able to correctly troubleshoot, repair all components and brands of air compressors including large electrical, centrifugal, oil-free, reciprocal piston equipmentMust be able to properly use multimeters, amp meters, vibration and infrared meters, megger.Must be able to successfully perform the above while meeting the Company and Customer’s safety requirements as per OSHA requirements. Have oil field safety experience a plusRead and comprehend P&I drawings, ID/GA drawings, and wiring diagrams.Perform routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes, cleaning, and setting controls.Must be able to set up rigging equipment and safely remove and reinstall motors, compressors, and associated components.Must be able to safely use all hand tools and power tools such as drill motors, grinders, band saws, etc.Understanding of high-pressure drill packagesHelp with the manufacturing of skid packages for the oil fieldMust have an understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles and components.Technical understanding of electrical and electronic systems, microprocessors, VSD, IndustrialControl and Automation Management, Timers, Phase Monitors, Star and Triangle starting configuration, Soft Starters, Direct Starters, Variable Speed, PLC Management, Wye-Delta.Knowledge of different types of piping such as types of copper, black, aluminum and galvanized installing blue Transair piping, fittings, and anchors.Understanding and servicing of cooling towers, water quality management, and care.Air Treatment, must understand regenerative dryers and controls, refrigerated dryers a plusDiesel compressor troubleshooting, maintenance, and set up for rental fleetData logger installation, understand systems and install locations of devices.EPA certifications with Freon experience are a plus.Sullair factory-certified level one (minimum)An excellent driving record and being able to drive a service van or pickup truck are required.Complete paperwork dailyProvide on-call response during the assigned weekSpanish speaking is a plus to communicate with customersQualifications: Able to perform this job successfully, as an individual and must have verifiable air compressor repair experience, be a team player, self-motivated, and able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.A strong background in mechanical and electrical is necessary.Must have their own tools, meters, and refrigerated equipment to successfully complete all jobs assigned.Must have a valid driver licenseHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredProfessional Technical Institutional training preferredMust be able to undergo a background processWe also provide excellent benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K plan, vacation, and holiday pay.Disclaimer: Please note that the above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
