    Your Mission We are seeking a Product Engineer to join our engineering team specializing in Slip Ring technology. In this role, you will be responsible for designing new products, developing existing products, testing for proof of product integrity, and optimizing slip ring products used in various industrial applications. Your expertise will support manufacturing processes, improve product performance, and ensure the highest quality standards are met through innovative engineering solutions and continuous improvement initiatives. Successful candidate should bring an electical engineering degree and experience designing electromechanical devices. How you will make a difference Analyze, design, develop and complete life cycle support of sliding contact slip rings for the transmission of power, digital signals, analog signals, RF (3+GHz) shielding and ground based on customer specifications, company and industry standards. Develop schematics and printed circuit board layouts for power and digital data transmission circuits. Analyze electrical systems described in customer requirements and match Deublin's technology offerings to create new custom products. Review mechanical designs to ensure required electrical properties are met by design features and callouts on print. Perform proof of concept and validation testing on new products, concepts, and materials for use in new commercial products. Communicate results through written formal report and presentations. Application support of slip ring product line with customers via email, phone, web meetings, and in person visits. Determine sources for new parts and support procurement department in qualifying the supplier. Analyze and determine discrepant material dispositions. Make sales calls with Sales representatives at customer sites. Assemble and test prototype slip ring assemblies for internal and external use and assist manufacturing and assembly on first production builds. Product validation, HALT (highly accelerated life testing), verification and compliance testing using motor drives, multimeters, hi-pot (high potential) tester, oscilloscope, etc. Develop and test new concepts and materials as needed for new products, performance improvements and cost reductions. Analyze and determine possible product failure modes and establish a project plan of action to increase reliability. Apply DFM (design for manufacturability)/DFA (design for assembly) to products as needed. Participate in Aerospace and Defense project development. What you should be good at Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, Electrical Engineering preferred. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required , Slip Ring Engineering preferred. Radio Frequency (3+GHz) experience preferred. Knowledge of quality assembly and soldering practices and methods and ability to perform basic soldering and assembly of electrical and mechanical components Experience with PCB design including component selection, best practices for power and data layouts, and mechanical interfacing Ability to analyze an electrical component and/or systems power handling capabilities within an operating environment Familiarity with electrical shielding and EMI mitigation in electrical systems Ability to specify and assess the quality of static contacts such as solder joints, crimps, and bolted connections. Familiarity with common materials used in electrical systems for bulk conduction, contacts, and insulation Ability to find and interpret international standards to justify design concepts Familiarity with compliance testing requirements internationally Ability to design new products through use of CAD techniques, calculations, and testing. Knowledge of test methods to verify electrical performance of products (signal noise, impedance, dielectric withstanding, etc.) Ability to perform MTBF and FMEA.
