    Your Mission

    HOERBIGER Safety Solutions, IEP Technologies (IEP) is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to grow sales, build brand recognition and strengthen distribution sales channels for our Explosion Protection product line to the HAZLOC processing industries.

    Successful candidates should have a technical understanding of how manufacturing processes in combustible liquids and vapors, powder and bulk solids-handling industries work, and a functional understanding of the primary process equipment in these industries. In addition, the candidate should have experience with the application of industrial fire protection or life safety equipment in the manufacturing industries.

    The Territory for this position includes the Western United States (NM, AZ, CA, CO, UT, NV, ID, WY, MT, OR, WA), Western Canada (BC, AB, SK, MB) and Mexico. Position requires 40-60% travel. Successful candidate must live in the region, preferably in Denver or Phoenix (however other locations close to a major airport may be considered). Travel also will include participating in local and national trade shows, as well as international travel for training.

    Must have 5+ years' regional industrial sales experience, working with customizable industrial products (not commodities), preferably in the territory.

    How you will make a difference

    Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with end users, OEMs, system integrators, and A&E firms. Train and support distributors and external sales representatives across the full product portfolio. Serve as a trusted technical advisor for explosion prevention and protection solutions. Deliver accurate sales forecasting and market intelligence to inform strategic decisions. Represent the company at customer meetings, presentations, and trade shows. Manage and optimize regional CRM to ensure pipeline visibility, data integrity, and effective territory planning.

    What you should be good at

    Minimum of 5 years' experience in B2B technical or industrial product sales (fire & life safety preferred). Strong technical understanding of explosion protection, fire, or life safety solutions. Experience selling technical products in industrial or manufacturing environments. Understanding of manufacturing processes, including equipment such as dryers, dust collectors, or material conveyance systems. Proven expertise in communicating and presenting technical solutions to diverse stakeholders. Skilled in business development, managing distribution channels and territory management. Ability to build and manage distribution and OEM sales channels. Self-directed, results-oriented work style with high travel readiness. Bachelor's degree in engineering or business; equivalent relevant experience.

    Educational and Professional Background:
    High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Have experience in in 5s, lean manufacturing, six sigma, or similar methodologies, which are crucial for optimizing manufacturing processes. Being skilled in using measuring tools like micrometers and calipers, or having a willingness to learn how to use them. This is important for maintaining quality control. Having the ability to read and understand blueprints, which is vital for overseeing production tasks and ensuring they meet design specifications. Demonstrating strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and guide teams. Experience in a leadership role or extensive experience in a manufacturing or production environment is essential.
    Language Skills:
    English Proficiency: Demonstrate a strong command of the English language, both written and spoken. Proficiency in presenting information to both small and large groups. Ability to create and manage written documentation, including recording and supplying information.
    Mathematical Skills:
    Understand arithmetic, like adding and subtracting decimals. You should be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division accurately. You also need to be proficient in both English and Metric units, including conversions between them.
    Computer Skills:
    Possess excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
