Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLuxury Smart Home Design Consultant (AV & Automation Sales) — Tampa, FLBase + Uncapped Commission · Top Consultant on Pace for $250K+ · Tampa Bay, FL

Hive Integration designs, installs, and maintains premium smart home, AV, and lighting control systems for some of Tampa Bay's most beautiful luxury properties. We've been doing it since 2010, and we're growing fast — which is why we're looking for an elite Design Consultant who knows how to close high-ticket custom integration projects.

This is a hunter-and-closer role, and you won't do it alone. You'll be backed by dedicated pre-sales engineering, a sales coordinator who screens and routes leads, and a marketing team that keeps quality opportunities flowing. Your job is to build relationships with luxury homeowners, builders, architects, and interior designers, design incredible lifestyle experiences, and close.

Our consultants are on pace for $250K+ this year. If you have the drive, the industry knowledge, and the sales acumen, the ceiling here is uncapped.

    What You'll Be Doing

You'll own the client relationship from first contact to signed contract — and beyond:

Consultative design selling. Meet with high-net-worth clients, architects, and custom home builders to understand how they live, then craft premium AV, lighting, and automation solutions tailored to their home and vision.Pipeline management. Work your inbound leads, network within the luxury construction and design community, and build a healthy book of self-generated opportunities.Collaborating with engineering. Partner with our pre-sales systems designer so the technical scope matches the client's vision — accurate, profitable proposals, every time. You won't be bogged down drawing rack elevations or building BOMs from scratch.Closing high-ticket projects. Present, handle objections, and close — from single-room media rooms to six-figure whole-home integration systems, plus recurring Calibration & Optimization service plans that keep clients (and your commissions) coming back.Client relationship management. Be the face of Hive Integration — a premium, white-glove experience through the whole cycle, and the person clients call for their next upgrade and their referrals. You'll be in the field, in the showroom, and in front of clients doing what you do best: building trust and closing.

    What Success Looks Like

Every Hive design consultant carries a $3M annual quota. That's the altitude we operate at — and we give you the leads, the pre-sales engineering, and the showrooms to hit it. Strong reps write multiple six-figure projects a year and are compensated like it.

    You'll Thrive Here If You

Have operated at the top of this industry — consistently closing six-figure custom projects and carrying a serious book. Personally sold $2M+ in a year? Even better. Been closing premium custom work at a smaller shop and hungry for a bigger stage? We want to talk.Have experience in Custom Integration (CI), luxury AV, or high-end construction/design.Can speak confidently about premium platforms — Control4, Lutron, Josh.ai, and similar — in front of a discerning client. Are comfortable networking with luxury builders, interior designers, and architects.Translate technical concepts into lifestyle benefits the end-user actually feels. Are motivated by an uncapped commission structure and want to build a real book of business.Bonus: you already use AI tools (for prospecting, communication, or workflow) to sell more in less time. It's not required, but we're an AI-forward shop and it's a real edge here.

    Not a Fit If You

Are uncomfortable selling to high-net-worth individuals or pitching six-figure projects.Want a purely inbound, order-taker role and don't want to hunt or build trade relationships.Don't understand the difference between a big-box AV setup and a true custom-integrated smart home.Rely on high-pressure tactics instead of building trust and delivering premium solutions.Pay & Benefits

Base salary + uncapped commission on gross profit. You help set the mix: take our lower base ($50K) with our top commission rate, or a higher base (up to $100K) with a lower rate — bet on yourself however you like. Either way, you're built to earn.On-target earnings $200K+ at your $3M target — before recurring service-plan commissions and accelerators. Our consultants are on pace for $250K+ this year.Recurring commission on Calibration & Optimization service plans — annuity income that compounds as your book grows.401(k); health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off.Dedicated pre-sales engineering and a sales coordinator so you focus on selling. Why Hive Integration

    Marketing & Brand Coordinator

Tampa, FL  ·  Full-Time, On-Site  ·  Reports to the CEO

    About Hive Integration

Hive Integration designs, installs, and maintains the technology we put into the finest homes and commercial spaces across Tampa Bay. Since 2010, we have been the trusted partner for high-net-worth clients who expect their smart home and automation systems to simply work — beautifully, reliably, and for the life of the system. Our promise is in our name: Connected Spaces. Seamless Control.

We are in an exciting chapter of growth, and we are building the team to match. This is a newly created seat with real ownership, direct access to leadership, and a clear runway to make an outsized impact.

Your timing is ideal. On July 1 we launch a refreshed brand and a new website — and from your first week, you’ll own carrying that new identity into the market: our content, our social, our events, and our trade relationships.

    The Role

The Marketing & Brand Coordinator owns the engine that powers Hive’s reputation in our market — our brand presence, our content, our events, and our relationships with the architects, designers, and builders who specify our work. You build the room, fill the room, and create the warm moment; our leadership and sales team carry the relationship from there. You are the firsthand owner of how Hive shows up everywhere our future clients and trade partners look.

This is a hands-on, get-it-done seat for someone who is equally comfortable writing a polished email to a design firm, producing a week of social content from a single event, coordinating a lunch-and-learn end to end, and directing our outside marketing agency to get more from every dollar.

    What You’ll Own

    •     Specifier & trade marketing. Plan and run the marketing that keeps Hive top-of-mind with architects, interior designers, and builders — invitations, newsletters, follow-up, and consistent, on-brand communication that nurtures the referral relationships driving our best business.

    •     Events, start to finish. Own the logistics and promotion of lunch-and-learns, open houses, CEU accreditation courses, and showroom experiences — from concept and calendar to setup, materials, and follow-through.

    •     Gift-giving strategy. Build and run a thoughtful, brand-right gifting program that strengthens our trade and client relationships.

    •     Content production. Create original content for our organic and in-house use — turning a single install, event, or project into a week of social posts, emails, and web material. Coordinate photography and video as needed.

    •     Digital footprint. Maintain and grow our social media, website, and entire digital presence — keeping everything current, consistent, and unmistakably Hive.

    •     Agency partnership. Work firsthand with One Firefly, our digital marketing agency, as their primary point of contact — feeding them strong source material and holding the bar on quality so we maximize every deliverable. You’ll also partner closely with our internal Systems team on HubSpot and website mechanics.

    •     Local outreach. Lead Hive’s local presence and community activities — the in-person, on-the-ground work that a referral-driven business depends on.

    •     Brand stewardship. Protect the Hive identity — our voice, our look, and our standards — across every piece that goes out the door.

    What You Bring (Required)

    •     Trade-channel marketing experience. Demonstrated success marketing to — or building referral relationships with — a professional or trade audience: architects, designers, builders, luxury homebuilders, interior design, real estate, or a comparable high-end referral channel. This is the heart of the seat.

    •     AI literacy. You use modern AI tools fluently to draft, repurpose, and multiply content — and you have the judgment to edit and polish so nothing ships that breaks our brand voice. You turn one asset into many and lean on automation to work smarter.

    •     Hands-on content creation. 2–4 years of marketing or communications experience producing content across social, email, and graphics or video. Canva proficiency required; Adobe Creative Suite a plus.

    •     Event coordination. Proven ability to run events from first idea to flawless execution.

    •     Sharp writing & brand discipline. Excellent writing and an instinct for keeping every touchpoint consistent and on-brand.

    •     Agency management comfort. Confidence directing and getting the most out of an outside marketing partner.

    •     Local mobility. A valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation for local events and outreach.

    Bonus Points (Not Required)

    •     Experience in custom integration, AV, smart home, luxury home, or the building trades

    •     Hands-on HubSpot experience

    •     Photography or videography skills

    •     Experience coordinating CEU or continuing-education courses

    What Success Looks Like

    First 30 days:

    •     Our first lunch-and-learn is on the calendar

    •     Our first CEU session is on the calendar, drawing on our CEDIA-accredited course library

    •     Registration is live and open for the first month of events — RSVP ready to promote

    First 90 days:

    •     Our first lunch-and-learn and first CEU session are delivered

    •     Brand assets are organized, accessible, and consistently applied under our new identity

    •     A steady, on-brand social cadence is sustained across our channels

    •     A gift-giving program is drafted and approved

    •     A reliable content pipeline to One Firefly is up and running

    First 12 months:

    •     A full year of specifier events delivered — a consistent rhythm of lunch-and-learns and open houses

    •     A sustained, multi-channel content cadence maintained all year

    •     An ongoing CEU offering established — multiple accredited sessions delivered to the trade

    •     A growing library of reusable organic content

    •     Measurable growth in specifier engagement — list size, event attendance, and trade relationships

    Compensation & How to Apply

Compensation: $54,000–$78,000 base depending on experience, plus a performance bonus tied to events delivered and specifier engagement. Full-time, on-site in Tampa.

With your application, answer this: Show us how you’d turn one specifier lunch-and-learn into a week of content across our channels.

Tell us what you’d post, where, and why. We’re looking for thinking, not a polished campaign — this tells us more than any résumé bullet.

Hive Home Systems LLC is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

Systems Designer – Custom AV & Smart Home Integration$70,000-$85,000 + Performance Bonus | Technical Design Role | Tampa
Hive Home Intelligence designs and installs high-end home automation systems for some of Tampa’s most beautiful homes. We’re growing fast and looking for a highly technical Pre-Sales Systems Designer to be the engineering backbone of our sales team.
Please Note: This is not a general IT, mechanical drafting, or basic CAD role. This position requires deep, hands-on experience specifically in the Custom Integration (CI) and low-voltage AV industry. If you do not know how to design a distributed audio system, calculate power/thermal requirements for an AV rack, or spec out a Control4/Savant/Crestron system, this role is not for you.
This is a crucial technical pre-sales/support role. We’re looking for someone who can translate client needs into technically sound, profitable, and buildable AV and smart home systems. You will work directly with our sales team to ensure estimates are accurate, designs are flawless, and proposals reflect the premium quality of our work.

    What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be trusted to own the technical design and estimating process, including:
•System Design & Engineering: Creating comprehensive system designs, floor plans, line drawings, and rack elevations for high-end residential AV, networking, lighting control, and automation projects.
•Estimating & Proposal Generation: Translating project requirements into accurate bills of materials (BOMs), labor estimates, and polished proposals that the sales team can confidently present.
•Technical Sales Support: Collaborating with the sales team during client meetings to capture technical scope, cast vision, and answer complex technical questions regarding signal flow, hardware compatibility, and network architecture.
•Design Validation: Reviewing and approving system designs to ensure product compatibility, technical efficacy, and alignment with our installation standards.
•Technical Standards Ownership: Establishing, maintaining, and enforcing the company's technical standards — from preferred product sets and wiring practices to documentation templates and system architecture guidelines — ensuring consistency and quality across every project.
•Team Training & Development: Serving as the internal technical authority for the organization, conducting training sessions to keep the installation and sales teams current on new products, platforms, and best practices.
•Pre-to-Post Sales Handoff: Ensuring a seamless transition from the sales phase to the operations and installation teams by providing clear, detailed technical documentation.
You won’t just be drawing lines on a page. You’ll be actively involved in the sales process, ensuring that what we sell is exactly what we can successfully build.

    What We’re Looking For

This role is a great fit if you:
•Have 4+ years of technical experience specifically in the Custom Integration (CI), residential AV, or low-voltage automation industry.
•Possess a masterful grasp of fundamentals in AV signal flow, enterprise-grade networking (VLANs, WAPs, router config), low-voltage wiring, distributed audio/video, and lighting control (e.g., Lutron).
•Have in-depth, hands-on product knowledge of major control systems and platforms (e.g., Control4, Josh.ai, Crestron, Savant).
•Are proficient with industry-specific design and estimating software (e.g., D-Tools, AutoCAD, Visio, Bluebeam).
•Understand the physical hardware: AVRs, DSPs, matrix switchers, amplifiers, architectural speakers, and displays.
•Are highly detailed, organized, and capable of managing multiple project designs simultaneously.
•Can effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical teams and non-technical clients.
•Familiarity with AI tools and how to apply them to design, estimating, or workflow optimization is a strong plus.
•CEDIA,  AVIXA, Control4, etc. certifications are highly desirable.

    Not a fit if:

•Your background is strictly in mechanical drafting, HVAC, civil engineering, or general IT support.
•You do not have direct experience designing or installing low-voltage AV and smart home systems.
•You prefer turning wrenches in the field and don't want to spend time at a desk designing and estimating.
•You struggle with details and frequently miss missing parts or labor hours in your estimates.

    Pay & Benefits

•Base Salary: $70,000 – $85,000, commensurate with experience, certifications, and platform proficiency
•Performance Bonus: Up to $10,000/year, structured around estimate accuracy, quarterly revenue targets, and annual performance review
•Full-time, steady work in a collaborative environment
•401K, Health, dental, and vision insurance
    •Paid time off
•Opportunity to shape the technical direction of a rapidly growing company

    Why Hive Home Intelligence

•Work with the latest smart home and AV technology in luxury environments.
•A pivotal engineering role where your designs directly impact the company's profitability and reputation.
•A team that values craftsmanship, professionalism, and premium client experiences.
•Clear expectations, solid communication, and respect for your technical expertise.
•Room to grow as we scale.

If you’re a meticulous technical expert who wants to engineer incredible smart home systems and drive sales success, we’d love to talk.
