About the Role We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist. This position performs MRI procedures ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging, and quality control. Responsibilities include patient screening, positioning, operating MRI equipment, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and documenting procedures in the EMR. Responsibilities Interviews patient prior to MRI procedure for MRI safety prior to performance of the procedure. Ensure patient safety, including correctly identifying every patient using approved two (2) patient identifiers at every point of contact in the MRI suite. Explains the MRI process and instructs patient on the procedure to obtain optimal imaging diagnostic results; answers all related questions and responds to patient’s needs or concerns, as required. Safely sets-up, operates, and adjusts, MRI equipment, selecting proper technical factors to obtain accurate MRI studies; selects software options and imaging parameters, when adjusting an MRI machine; returns equipment to its original location after each scan. Ensures safety for patients, operator and visitors within magnetic field zone four (4). Prepares patient for radiological procedure by safely positioning patient for MRI scans, adjusting devices, moving equipment into specified position and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors, monitors patient during scanning. Maintains proper-functioning imaging equipment and performs image quality and calibration tests on equipment as necessary; reports any malfunction to appropriate staff. Maintains Imaging supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies. Evaluates images for technical quality and accuracy, ensuring proper identification of all images is recorded, and presents completed images to Radiologist. Effectively uses electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient encounters and access pertinent patient data and imaging results; keeps other detailed and accurate patient records and results. Qualifications Associate's degree from a Radiologic Technology program required Valid license as a Radiologic Technologist Current Certification and registration from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA). Required Skills At least 1 year MRI experience, Relevant Equipment.
