    Pay: $38 per/hour
    Schedule: Training: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM (2–3 weeks)

    Keep autonomous vehicle testing running smoothly.
    Behind every successful autonomous vehicle test is a team making sure the right vehicles, the right operators, and the right technology are ready to go. As a Shift Coordinator, you'll be at the center of daily operations; coordinating deployments, monitoring fleet activity, solving real-time issues, and keeping testing on track.
    If you're experienced in dispatch, fleet operations, logistics, or technical coordination and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where every day is different, this could be a great fit.

    What your day looks like:

    Coordinate daily vehicle deployments and operator assignments based on testing priorities.Perform pre-deployment readiness checks, including software validation, vehicle readiness, and time synchronization.Monitor fleet health in real time using internal dashboards and operational tools.Respond to changing priorities by coordinating vehicle swaps, schedule adjustments, and operator reassignments.Track maintenance, charging, and software-related issues to keep vehicles deployment-ready.Work closely with engineering, operations, and field teams to quickly resolve issues impacting testing.Ensure operators follow all safety procedures and testing protocols.Maintain detailed shift logs, operational metrics, and shift handoff documentation.Travel between San Francisco and Sunnyvale sites as needed to support operations.

    What we're looking for:

    2+ years of experience in fleet operations, dispatch, logistics, vehicle coordination, or a similar operational role.Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.Experience working in a fast-paced technical or operational environment.Comfortable making real-time decisions and adapting to changing priorities.A safety-first mindset with exceptional attention to detail.Experience using dashboards and software tools to monitor operational activity.

    Nice to have:

    Experience with Fleet Management Systems (Fleetio or similar).Familiarity with Slack, Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace.Previous experience supporting autonomous vehicle or automotive operations.Dispatch or field operations coordination experience.Understanding of software deployments, telemetry, and vehicle health monitoring systems.Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.

    Our client is one of the most recognized names in autonomous ride-hailing, and they're looking for a hands-on, dependable Fleet Operations Associate to keep their self-driving vehicle fleet clean, charged, prepped, and ready for daily operations on the streets of San Francisco.

    Shifts Available

    Two schedules currently open — ideal for candidates seeking evening, overnight, or weekend hours:

    2nd Shift: Wednesday – Sunday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM3rd Shift: Thursday – Monday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM


    What You'll Be Doing

    Fleet Readiness

    Keep vehicles, equipment, and the test site clean, organized, and operationally readyFuel and charge test vehicles and supporting equipment routinelyMove and store vehicles and equipment as neededAssist with vehicle readiness documentation and paperwork

    Mission Prep & Tech Support

    Launch software across vehicle devices, verify hardware and software configurations, deploy updates, capture data, and escalate issues as they ariseOrganize, track, and transport spare parts inventorySupport BaseOps technicians with fluid changes, part replacements, and wiring checks

    Testing & Operations Support

    Assist with pre-mission prep, documentation, cone course and obstacle setup, and traffic controlDrive support vehicles during testing operationsEnsure vehicles meet all applicable regulatory requirements


    What You Bring

    Required

    2+ years of hands-on work experience in a fast-paced environmentValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAble to lift up to 50 lbs and use carts, dollies, and hand trucks throughout your shiftComfortable on your feet for extended periods — this is an active, physical roleStrong problem-solver with a get-it-done attitude and the ability to perform under pressureStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multi-task effectivelyAble to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug screeningSafety boots required (ASTM F2412/F2413 compliant)

    Preferred

    Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in automotive repairHands-on vehicle experience — under the hood comfort is a real advantage hereProficiency with Jira, Confluence, Google Suite, or MS OfficePrior experience in automotive, operational, or technical environments
