Under the direction of the Early Head Start Specialist, the Infant and Toddler Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing services as required to support the development and education of children enrolled in the Early Head Start Program.
Essential Functions

Planning and Developing
Prepare and implement daily plans, schedules, and activities.Arrange classroom space into well-organized learning centers.Plan for field trips in accordance with program schedules.Participate in Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings.Make a minimum of two (2) scheduled home visits a year.Participate in staff-parent conferences.Provide positive guidance, opportunities, and supervision for children at all times.Implementing Activities

Conduct development screening, assessment, and evaluation of children.Distribute developmentally appropriate activities and resources to promote the parent as the child's primary educator.Refer children to appropriate components for services.Document and maintain required child records.Prepare and submit program reports as required.Report cases of suspected child abuse/neglect in accordance with state law.Communicating and Guiding
Meet, greet, observe, and assess children daily.Recruit volunteers and in-kind contributions.Serve on program committees and boards of other organizations affiliated with children and families.Training and Supporting
Participates in staff meetings, parent meetings, and training sessions.Participates in educational and professional training as required to maintain appropriate credentials.Additional Responsibilities

Qualification
B. S. Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Care and Family Education, Elementary Education, – OR – Associate of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development Associate (CDA), or directly related field with one (1) year of experience working with preschool children.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hand-to-finger motion, and hand or feel objects when interacting with children. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs., if necessary, to lift a child. The employee primarily works in an indoor environment.
Supervisory Control
The Infant and Toddler Teacher is directly responsible to the Early Head Start Specialist, who is responsible to the Children’s Services Director. The Early Head Start Specialist will evaluate the infant and toddler teacher semi-annually. The evaluation will be conducted through performance monitoring and progress reviews, and the Children’s Services Director will review it.

This position is responsible for transporting program participants from rural areas of Hinds County to various destinations within Hinds County in accordance with applicable guidelines and regulations of the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT). The work also involves transporting meals to the elderly and disabled once a week.
Essential Functions

ransports program participants to social services agencies, shopping, medical appointments, recreational activities, and other personal destinations.
Delivers meals to program participants in their home once a week.
Completes passenger trip logs specifying the number of passengers, type and number of trips taken and trip purposes.
Performs routine preventative maintenance and daily maintenance checks on assigned vehicle.
Informs supervisor of any vehicle maintenance and repair needs in a timely manner.
Takes vehicles to the shop for maintenance, repairs and required state inspections.
Reports any traffic violations and/or accidents to supervisor and other proper authorities.
Prepares all necessary reports and records as required by the Agency and funding sources.
Attends all annual training in accordance with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) mandatory training requirements.

Qualifications

Conducting general liaison with news media and government public relations officers, to the extent that such activities are limited to communication and liaison necessary to keep the public informed on matters of public concern, such as notices of funding opportunities, financial matters, annual reports, etc.
Monitoring
Monitor news sources, community, resources and media outlets, including social media platforms, for information relevant to agency’s operations of programs, services, staff, governance entities, etc., and making recommendations of event attendance to program administration to the extent of fulfilling the agency’s mission and program objectives.
Record Keeping
Input data and file information for communications and development activities as required.
Serve as photographer at agency events and activities. Create and manage photo library.
Develop, organize and maintain news clippings, photos, documents and graphics library, electronically and drawer filing system.
Assist with updating and maintaining the document tracking system used to manage print requests.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, graphic design, public relations, journalism or related field with two years of experience in communications, graphic design, and/or office management, with a history of content generation.
Candidate must have excellent communications and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to demonstrate oral and written communication. Additionally, must have good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator - InDesign a plus.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Public Policy/Administration, Business Administration, or related fields. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Minimum 2+ years of experience, ideally in early learning or an education organization in the private or public sector. Minimum 2+ years of managerial experience, management of cross-functional teams or analytics teams (preferred). Experience in training and communicating data and analytics products to audiences of varying levels of expertise.

The incumbent will serve as assistant to the Vice President, Department of Family Opportunities. Incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Vice President, Department of Family Opportunities in the administration, planning and coordination of the Agency’s community service programs in accordance with applicable federal/state regulations and guidelines. The incumbent will also assist in performing activities necessary to control and coordinate all management and support activities of the Department Family Opportunities.

Oversee and monitor approval by Family Opportunity Advisor Supervisor of mileage reimbursement requests, time sheets and intake applications for accuracy.
Implements and monitors data tracking and reporting of client records and reports.
Verifies and consults with Fiscal Department regarding client assistance checks.
Consults with Family Opportunities Supervisor regarding client hearings and concerns.
Compiles and submits program reports to the Vice President of Department of Family Opportunities for submission to the funding source(s).
Acts as point of contact for Virtual ROMA tracking system.
Compiles needs assessment to facilitate program planning

Under the supervision of the Center Administrator and indirect supervision and training of/by the Director of Facilities and Field Services, the ustodian/Security Guard is responsible for the daily housekeeping and cleaning of the entire Head Start Center, both indoors and outdoors, as well as continual campus monitoring and security.
Essential Functions
These essential functions include but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the Agency.Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming, as required.
Gathers and empties trash.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms on a continuous basis each day.
Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures, taking care to store and lock cleaning materials out of the reach/access of children.
Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or by using a hand truck, dolly, or maintenance cart.
Notifies the Center Administrator concerning the need for major repairs.
Spreads ice melt on stairs, ramps, porches, and sidewalks, as warranted.
Sets up for meetings and functions.
Cleans and polishes furniture, fixtures, mirrors, and windows.
Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment.
Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors.
Mixes chemicals for cleaning.
Makes minor repairs (changing bulbs, switch plates, outlet covers, tightening screws, toilet seats, and minor plumbing repairs).
Planning and Organizing
Stores garbage, trash, and other items for disposal in accordance with proper sanitation procedures.
Requests janitorial supplies.
Implementing Activities
Inspects buildings and grounds for unsafe conditions.
Removes hazardous debris from center grounds on a daily basis.
Cleans floors, bathrooms, and classrooms daily in accordance with proper cleaning procedures.
Performs cleaning tasks such as dusting and washing windows and walls on a regular basis.
Recording, Keeping, and Reporting
Maintains an inventory of adequate janitorial supplies and keeps classrooms and bathrooms properly supplied.
Communicating and Guiding
Performs minor replacements and repairs to fixtures and furnishing in accordance with the work plan., including replacing light bulbs, as needed.
Training and Supporting
Participates in staff meetings, parent meetings, training sessions, workshops, conferences, and parent activities.
Recruit volunteers and in-kind contributions. Recruit children for enrollment in Head Start.

Under the direction of the Vice President of Head Start and Early Childhood Development Programs, the Family & Community Services Director is responsible for developing the team management system for effectively implementing and evaluating social services, parent involvement, and special projects services.
Essential Functions

Planning and Developing
Writes and updates the division work plan.
Develops and requests division budget based on identified needs.
Develops and maintains a recordkeeping system that ensures confidentiality.

Assesses training needs develops training designs, and conducts training for family/community services staff and parents.

Works with the Board Advisory Committee to devise agendas and schedules for Policy Council and parent committee workshops. Monitoring
Monitors all family & community services programs on a regular and/or unannounced basis to ensure compliance with all relevant performance measures and regulations.
Monitors information entered into COPA (Child Outcome Planning and Administration) by family service workers and coordinates with the Data Analytics Officer to ensure the accuracy of information in the COPA database.
Ensures staff compliance with agency Child Abuse and Neglect policy.
Record Keeping and Reporting
Prepares and submits program reports.
Maintains a hard-copy file of all records related to family and community partnerships and enrollment that may be requested during a PRISM review (including, but not limited to, information regarding ADA and training for parents and the Policy Council).
Requests needed supplies and equipment to prevent shortages.
Supervising an Evaluating
Participates in interviews and makes recommendations for employment of family/community services staff.
Reviews, evaluates and approves the performance of family/community services staff in accordance with the performance appraisal system.
Supervises the implementation of the family/community services program.
Reviews and approves time and attendance, leave requests, and payment of travel reports.
The team reviews folders and follows up with staff in a systematic manner, providing guidance and disciplinary action as needed to help ensure that we identify children's needs early and prompt attention.

Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Guidance, or related field with three years of experience in community services, including two years in a supervisory capacity.
