    Company Overview

    For over 40 years, Himmel’s Architectural Door and Hardware LLC has provided quality products and services in the commercial door and architectural specialties industry. Himmel’s is a growing organization with locations in Nashville, New Orleans, Prairieville, Dallas, and Houston. We pride ourselves as the door opening experts, not simply a construction material supplier. Our family owned and operated company is currently seeking a Commercial Door Installer to join our team!

    The Commercial Door Installer position is expected to install and repair doors and hardware on commercial sites.

    This position is scheduled Monday -Friday 6am – 3:30pm.

    Job Responsibilities

    Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisorsUses various hand and power tools to securely install doors.Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.Track progress through detailed end of day reportingCoordinate with project manager and onsite customer contact(s) to ensure project completion and satisfaction are met.Performs other related duties as assigned

    Requirements

    Ability to understand directions and read blueprintsAbility to properly care for and use tools of the trade.Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methodsWorks well as part of a team.

    Preferred

    Experience as a door installer or trim carpenter
