Hilltop Paving, Inc is seeking Tri-Axle Dump Truck drivers. The Class A and/or B CDL Tri -Axle Dump Truck Driver is an hourly-rated position that performs on construction projects any combination of the duties described below. The Class A and/or B CDL Drivers primary function is to safely transport Asphalt & related materials to and from construction sites.

General - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Key Duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and Experience - This position typically is not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience as a CDL Driver. Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must be able to read and understand work directions and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.Physical Demands - The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by a CDL Driver to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Physical effort, including standing, is required during a regular work shift of at least eight hours per day. Employee must be able to stay seated extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, reach, stretch, lift, and crouch as required to perform Key Duties.Frequently work with hands extended overhead, sometimes in conjunction with the operation of load binding devices.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds personally and up to 150 pounds with assistance.Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.Work Environment - The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those that a CDL Driver encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.Work involves close proximity to high traffic areas, both in and out of construction zones.

Position Overview
The construction mechanic plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment used in a variety of asphalt projects. This position requires hands-on expertise and a proactive approach to mechanical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair construction machinery
· Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, damage, or malfunction in mechanical systems.
· Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule to minimize downtime.
· Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently and safely.
· Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
· Work closely with supervisors and team members to coordinate repairs and equipment deployment.
· Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
· Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts inventory.
· Assist with training and mentoring junior mechanics as needed.
· Respond to emergency breakdowns and support crews on site as required.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in mechanics or related field preferred.
· Proven experience as a mechanic in construction, heavy machinery, or similar industry (minimum 2 years recommended).
· Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
· Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools proficiently.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Good physical stamina and ability to work in varying conditions (outdoors, heights, confined spaces).
· Valid driver’s license: CDL or equipment licenses are a plus.
· Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a diverse team.
· Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Work Environment
Our construction sites are dynamic and diverse. Mechanics are expected to adapt to changing project needs, working both independently and as part of a skilled crew.
