Job Outline
Reports to the service manager and responsible for the effective repair of machinery and components at high levels of quality. This individual works under direct supervision.Recondition and repair all equipment components and systems as assigned by the shop manager.Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies and outside purchases in repairs.Maintain and care for shop tools, equipment and vehicles, including service truckCommunicate with others professionallyMaintain excellent customer and employee relations.Duties
Recondition and Repair Equipment and Components.Plan methods and sequence of performing repairs assignedOrder all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairsEffect the repairs required in a safe and effective mannerEnsure that all repairs are completed as assignedEnsure the cosmetic appearance upon completion as requiredEnsure all parts and materials not used are returned per guidelinesMaintain the work area in a clean and safe conditionMaintain Good Working Records for Time, Parts, Supplies, and Outside Purchases in Repairs.All record keeping methods are followed per instructionsAll cost-related items are included in the job “jacket”Ensure all records kept are legible or in compliance with established methodsMaintain and Care for Shop Tools, Equipment and Vehicles.All tools and special equipment used on repairs are clean before returning themAll specialty tools used on jobs are returned to the original location in working conditionCommunicate with Others Professionally.All communications with customers is conducted in a manner reflecting respect and honestyJob Requisites

Education/Training/Experience
A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs.
General Skill Requisites
Strong mechanical skills.Good communications skills.Good, safe work habits.Specific Skill Requisites
A good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions on Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Bull Dozers, Crushers, Screeners, Pavers, Roller Compactors, Skid Steer Loaders, and Backhoe Loaders.Strong diagnostic skills Electrical, Hydraulics, and Powertrains.Able to perform repairs for all major equipment systemsStarted in 2007, Hills Machinery is owned by brothers, Adam and Jim Hills and operated by a dedicated team of heavy equipment industry professionals. Construction Equipment dealership is looking for an experienced mechanic / technician that can diagnose, order needed parts, and complete repairs on construction equipment.
Minimum of two years equipment experience required.
Training on product will be provided, but basic electrical and hydraulic skills are required.
Valid driver license, being dependable, and working well with others are key.
Reports to Service Manager.
Technician will be eligible for a onetime $2,000 sign on bonus to be paid on first completed pay period. Bonus will be subject to a one-year sliding scale repayment if employment is terminated prior one year anniversary.
