    YOUR ROLE:Hillis-Carnes Engineering is actively seeking a Geotechnical Driller Helper for our Delmar (Salisbury), MD office. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the geotechnical drill rig operations and drilling techniques, but willing to train a good candidate. Candidate needs be reliable, motivated, possess a positive attitude, and have a good work ethic. Experience with Hollow Stem Auger and Casing Advance Drilling, Mud Rotary Drilling, Split Spoon and Shelby Tube Sampling, and Rock Coring. Projects will be primarily located in MD and DE with the possibility of work in other states.REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or GEDAbility to meet additional pre-employment requirements.Excellent organizational skillsStrong work ethic, team player attitude, responsible, and reliableMust be able to work out of town when neededMust be able to life and carry up to 100 lbs.Clean and maintain company vehicle, drill rig, and equipmentWork closely with site leadership to ensure that scope of work is being met within a timely schedule and in accordance with the safety standardsCDL class A is requiredProduce daily reports and boring logsSuccessful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company-provided training and mentoringBENEFITS:Salary range is between $24 and $30/Hour and will be negotiated based on experience.Company vehicle and fuel card provided during work hours.We are proudly an Equal Opportunity Employer and offer an appealing benefit package.     Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are current seeking a geotechnical engineer, P.E. preferred, to join our team in Salisbury, Maryland and participate on a wide variety of geotechnical, testing and monitoring related projects. Projects are primarily located within Maryland, Virginia, DC, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with personnel at other HCEA offices throughout the company.General Responsibilities:Support the office's Geotechnical Group and other departments as required.Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, plans, technical specifications, and reports, including day to day correspondence.Perform geotechnical analyses based on site conditions and requirements to support project designs.Evaluate laboratory and field data for inclusion in reports.Review and interpret data and test results.Prepare field reports, internal correspondence and engineering reports.Follow company safety standards, site safety standards, and provide all required permitting.Contact vendors; research literature and regulatory requirements; prepare designs.Support field instrumentation and monitoring activities.Develop and maintain clients and actively participate in professional and related industry organizations.Candidate Qualifications:B.S.
