Position Summary
As an HVAC Service Technician, you will diagnose, repair, maintain, and service residential heating and air conditioning equipment. Our technicians work independently while being supported by an experienced office staff and management team dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
This is a full-time, year-round position with opportunities for growth and ongoing training.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair oil heating systems, and air conditioning systemsPerform preventative maintenance and annual cleaningsService boilers, furnaces, water heaters, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and central air systemsTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control-related issuesCommunicate repair options clearly with customersRecommend replacement equipment when repairs are no longer practicalComplete accurate digital service tickets and documentationMaintain company vehicle inventory and keep vehicle clean and organizedFollow all company safety policies and industry best practicesParticipate in the on-call rotation
Qualifications
Required
Minimum
3 years of residential HVAC service experienceMassachusetts Oil Burner Technician LicenseValid Massachusetts Driver's License with a clean driving recordEPA Universal CertificationStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independentlyExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to lift 50 pounds and work in attics, basements, crawlspaces, and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred
Experience servicing oil-fired heating equipmentMini-split and heat pump experienceKnowledge of combustion analysis and hydronic heating systemsPlumbing experience is a plus
