Tech is looking for a personable, sharp, energetic, creative, highly motivated, and results-oriented network engineer to join our team.Key Responsibilities:Contributing to network support at our clients (successful tech-forward, global organizations) as a part of an established network engineering teamBuilding, implementing, troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining clients' wireless infrastructure (WiFi) in multistory buildingCreating and maintaining documentation on networks, processes, procedures, knowledgebase articles, troubleshooting guides, and change logsDesigning low voltage plans, including a detailed spreadsheet listing each drop and its key attributes, and overhead drawings of the most appropriate cable support system, and the pathway for each run using AutoCadDeveloping, implementing, validating, and troubleshooting routing tables and firewall and network security policiesProactively maintaining client's network stacks; Meraki, Ubiquiti, Cisco, Netgear, and Cisco small business switchesFamiliarity with WatchGuard, Sonicwall, Fortigate, and other vendor interfaces. Comfort with learning how to navigate them as neededReviewing upcoming release notes for applicable network hardware and software, and disseminating relevant details to clients and teammatesCreating technical topology drawings and rack plans for new and updated deploymentsRacking and patching in hardware in a clean, organized manner, labeling cables for later identification; Liaising and monitoring third-party specialist vendors (such as low voltage companies) during network installationsCreating detailed estimates for projects, managing the execution of the work, and proactively communicating and maintaining accountability for bothCreating detailed quotes for network hardware and submitting quote requests in applicable vendor systems like Cisco Commerce (CCW)Selecting the most recommended, compatible (in terms of similar specs, throughput to avoid bottlenecks or unusable capacity) networking hardware and peripherals for each scenario's needsWorking closely with Hi! Ability to terminate and test bulk fiber cable.Ability to effectively and accurately use a tape measure, hand tools, and a power drill, and be comfortable on a ladder, under desks, or in other tight spacesFamiliarity with ITIL concepts and their application in network engineering within an enterprise environment is a plusMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureCompany DescriptionFriendly technologists providing tailored solutions for your business.
