    Herrmann Ultrasonics is hiring for an Mechanical Engineer!

    Immerse yourself into the fascinating world of ultrasonic welding! Herrmann Ultrasonics develops and builds machines that join plastics, packaging materials, nonwovens and metals with ultrasonic vibrations. This technology is suitable in many industries, such as medical, electronics, food and automotive. With nearly 700 global employees, based in 4 Headquarters and 22 Tech Centers, we are represented in 20 countries worldwide.


    Job profile

    Develop and implement ultrasonic welding application solutions for the METALS business unit within defined focus areas using existing knowledge and exploring innovative solutions. Defined focus markets include automotive wiring and power distribution, battery electric vehicle architecture, renewable energy storage, aerospace, and consumer products.

    Create basic CAD designs for prototype fixtures and customer proposals to support the order-winning process. Lead the implementation of these designs and investigate their effect on the application with hands-on technical testing and participation. Work with the design team to make recommendations for high volume manufacturing solutions in manual and automated production environments.

    Collaborate with internal colleagues, including sales, production and service, and external customers, to ensure seamless communication throughout order fulfillment.

    Provide hands-on technical support for customer applications, testing, and troubleshooting.

    Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and technologies within the METALS business unit.


    Requirements: 1-3 years of hands-on technical experienceDegree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field experienceBasic to intermediate CAD design skillsStrong problem-solving skills with a self-starter and can-do attitude.Willingness to use your hands and apply creative solutions.Strong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in MS-Office (Excel, PP, Word, Teams)Salesforce or CRM experience is a plus
