    Role Overview

    We are looking for a part-time fall semester intern (10-20 hrs per week) to support outbound outreach for our engineering platform. This person will help identify prospective customers, conduct cold calls, qualify leads, update outreach trackers, and support follow-up efforts with contractors, developers, property owners, municipalities, and other potential customers.

    This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, learning quickly, staying organized, and representing Heritage professionally. It is a strong fit for a student interested in sales, business development, private equity, entrepreneurship, construction, infrastructure, or engineering services.

    Key Responsibilities

    Outbound Outreach

    Conduct outbound outreach to business owners and executives from target lists developed by the HH team.

    Introduce HH, explain our investment approach, and assess owner interest in a potential conversation.

    Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and schedule follow-up conversations when appropriate.

    Maintain ongoing communication with prospects.

    Pipeline Management

    Record outreach activity, conversation notes, and next steps within HubSpot CRM.

    Maintain organized records of outreach activity and prospect status.

    Track outreach metrics including calls made, conversations held, and meetings scheduled.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    The Associate will support the investment team across new platform and add-on acquisition opportunities, including:

    Evaluating investment opportunities through market research, business diligence, financial analysis, and assessment of key risks and value creation opportunities

    Building financial models, returns analyses, operating forecasts, and transaction scenarios

    Preparing investment materials, including deal memos, IOIs, LOIs, and investment committee materials

    Managing diligence workstreams across financial, legal, tax, commercial, insurance, and operational diligence

    Coordinating with third-party advisors, lenders, legal counsel, accountants, management teams, and business owners throughout transaction processes

    Managing data rooms, diligence request lists, Q&A processes, and pre-close deliverables

    Supporting negotiation, financing, closing, and post-close handoff processes

    Assisting with industry research, market mapping, and evaluation of sourced opportunities

    Responsibilities

    Recruitment Support

    Support full-cycle recruiting efforts across Heritage Holding's portfolio companies

    Post and manage job advertisements across various job boards and recruiting platforms.

    Source candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, and other recruiting channels.

    Conduct initial candidate outreach and screening calls.

    Maintain accurate candidate records within the applicant tracking system - Ashby.

    Review resumes and identify qualified candidates for open positions.

    Maintain candidate communication throughout the hiring process

    Conduct reference checks and assist with offer preparation.

    Candidate Experience

    Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process.

    Ensure timely communication and follow-up with applicants.

    Maintain a professional and positive candidate experience from application through onboarding.

    Recruiting Operations

    Track recruiting metrics and hiring activity.

    Maintain recruiting pipelines and candidate databases.

    Assist with onboarding coordination for new hires.

    Support process improvements and recruiting initiatives.

    Prepare hiring reports and recruiting updates for management.

    Employer Branding & Administrative Support

    Assist with maintaining company career pages and job board profiles.

    Support recruiting-related content and employer branding initiatives.

    Assist with newsletters and internal communications as needed.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in psychology, human resources, business, or a related field

    0–1 years of experience in recruiting, human resources, administration, customer service, or a related field including internships

    Strong organizational and time management skills.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

    Experience with LinkedIn, ATS platforms, or recruiting tools is a plus.

    Professional, dependable, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
