    Hellas, Inc., a TenCate company, is seeking a hands-on Accounting Supervisor to assist with the financial operations for Hellas, Inc., ensuring alignment with TenCate financial standards and reporting requirements. This role will work directly with the Accounting Manager in the finance function and serve as a key partner to operational leadership, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong cost controls, and clear financial visibility across project-based work.

     

    This position requires a strong technical foundation in financial reporting, job costing, balance sheet management, and other finance and accounting tasks. The Accounting Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, improving reporting visibility, and supporting operational decision-making across a complex project and manufacturing environment.

     

    The ideal candidate brings experience supporting a large P&L and is comfortable operating both strategically and tactically in a hands-on capacity.

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

    Accounting & Financial Operations

    Work with team on monthly close activities, ensuring accuracy and timelinessMaintain balance sheet schedules, reconciliations, and general ledger supportPrepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accountsReview work prepared by others on the accounting teamAssist with accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow trackingWork closely with the Accounting Manager, the TenCate Group Control team and FP&A Manager on accounting policy alignment

     

    Financial Preparation

    Lead preparation of monthly and annual internal financial statementsSupport the annual budget and forecast cycleReview expenses and variances monthly. Analyze any unusual amounts and report to managementAssist in KPI tracking and development of dashboards for leadership

     

    Internal Controls & Compliance

    Maintain and improve internal control processes to ensure accuracy and prevent riskAssist with audit preparation and support internal and external auditorsEnsure compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards

     

    Reporting & Financial Governance

    Prepare routine management reports, financial summaries, and supporting schedulesHelp document and implement financial policies, procedures, and process improvementsSupport implementation or optimization of ERP and financial systems

    Provide financial insights to operational leaders to help drive cost discipline and efficiency

     

    Team Collaboration & Development

    Qualifications Required

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field5-8+ years progressive experience in accounting rolesExperience with large P&L responsibility or public accountingStrong balance sheet and financial reporting experienceExperience with job costing or project-based financial environmentsExperience with budgeting and forecasting processesExperience managing or mentoring accounting or finance staffStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systemsAbility to operate both strategically and hands-on

    Hellas is seeking a hands-on, proactive Diesel Mechanic who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in diesel engines and heavy construction equipment, a strong commitment to preventative maintenance, and a focus on safety. This individual will play a critical role in keeping our fleet operational and ready to support projects across the country.


    Duties and Responsibilities

    Perform diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of construction equipment, including loaders, dozers, trucks, pavers, and trailers.Conduct routine preventative maintenance and maintain accurate service records for all vehicles and machinery.Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cared for and stored.Monitor inventory levels of parts, supplies, and tools; coordinate with vendors as needed.Occasionally travel to job sites to perform field repairs or conduct equipment assessments.Communicate with project managers and operations teams to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.Participate in equipment evaluations and make recommendations for replacement or upgrades.Ensure compliance with all DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.


    Qualifications and Skills:

    Position Summary

     

    Hellas is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a fast-paced, multi-state construction organization. This role is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll, maintaining payroll records, assisting with audits, and responding to employee payroll questions.

     

    The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    Process weekly and semimonthly payrolls accurately and on time.Review payroll data, time records, deductions, taxes, benefits, and 401(k) contributions for accuracy.Maintain payroll records for employees working across multiple states.Process wage garnishments and other payroll deductions.Maintain and audit employee PTO balances and records.Assist with annual W-2 processing and payroll-related audits.Complete employment and wage verification requests.Support new-hire and rehire reporting requirements.Prepare payroll reports using mJobTime, Deltek ComputerEase, or other applicable systems.Respond to payroll questions from employees, managers, Human Resources, and Accounting.Maintain the confidentiality of payroll and employee information.Assist with prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting, as applicable.Support additional payroll projects and duties as needed.

     

    Qualifications
