Job Opportunity We re looking for a dynamic Licensed Electrician for an exciting data center project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa . To be successful, you ll need at least 2 years of verifiable experience working in Data Centers. Requirements 2+ years of commercial electrical experience in Data Center Projects Data center experience is a must Ready to travel and focused on safety Journeyman Electricians: You need a valid Iowa Journeyman Electrician License or a Journeyman License from a reciprocating state: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin, or Wyoming Duties Scope Assemble, install, maintain, and test electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings. Prepare work areas for equipment installation. Install electrical components. Connect wiring and equipment according to code and job specifications. Operate equipment only if trained and certified (like powder activated tools and JLG lifts). Set up and operate tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers, and cable vacuum systems. Read blueprints and electrical drawings to install as specified. Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances per drawings or plans. Secure and lock up equipment after use. State Journeyman Electrician Certification is required in some states and highly desirable in others. Have a proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget. Excellent knowledge of Building Codes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Physical Demands Work in all elements depending on job location and time of year heat, cold, rain, or snow. Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves) and a respirator when needed. Able to work 8-10 hours a day, 40 hours a week, with overtime and night shifts as required. Perform essential job functions, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, and lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds. Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers is required. Physical work is a big part of the job (more than 70%).
