The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs Machine tight-tolerance parts ( .005" or better) Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T Select tooling, fixturing, and machining strategies Perform first-article and in-process inspection Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues Improve processes, documentation, and repeatability Mentor less experienced machinists and support the shop floor
Machines, Controls & Software
You'll work with equipment such as:
Machines: CNC Mills, Lathes, Multi-Axis Machines (3, 4, 5-Axis) Controls: Fanuc / similar industry-standard controls CAM Software: MasterCAM or Fusion360 (any CAM experience valuable) Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, gauges, first-article inspection tools
Materials You'll Work With
Titanium Copper Inconel / Nickel-based alloys Other high-performance metals
What We're Looking ForRequired:
8+ years CNC machining experience Strong CNC programming experience (writing, modifying, optimizing) Experience with complex setups and multi-axis machining Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Ability to independently troubleshoot machining and tooling issues Comfortable working in a hands-on, production-driven rolePreferred (Not Required):
Experience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining Experience with tooling and fixturing design Background in aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing Experience in regulated environments (AS9100, ISO, ITAR, NADCAP)
