JOB SUMMARY:
The Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) is part of a multi-disciplinary team rendering care and services to persons receiving addiction treatment. The LMHP conducts assessments of persons who are seeking services and provides a multi-axis diagnosis or diagnostic impression as part of the assessment report. Identify needs and goals for the person in the assessment process and indicates the most appropriate level of care for the person. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This is a responsible position providing assistance and support to clients who are enrolled in a CSTAR substance use treatment program. The CSS provides services with or on behalf of a particular client in accordance with his/her individual rehabilitation plan to maximize the client’s adjustment and functioning within the community while achieving sobriety and sustaining recovery, maximizing the involvement of natural support systems, and promoting client independence and responsibility.
The CSS is part of an interdisciplinary team that assists consumers suffering from chemical dependency. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This is practical nursing work in the care and treatment of consumers in a medically monitored inpatient detoxification unit. An employee in this class performs practical nursing duties under the direction of a program manager. This employee is also responsible to ensure that all required activities are completed in a 24/7 detoxification and residential program and works alongside with paraprofessional attendants and support staff on the assigned shift. The following education and experience qualifications are the minimum requirement used to admit or reject applicants for consideration.
1. Completion of a course of training at a recognized diploma school of nursing as a practical nurse.
AND
2. Possession of a current license to practice as a Practical Nurse in the State of Missouri.
