    Job Title: Direct Support Professional
    Job Location: Hamilton
    Hours: 9am-3pm

As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing care and companionship to our clients, enabling them to live independently and fulfill their potential.

    Responsibilities:

    Provide one-to-one support and supervision to a 31-year-old female diagnosed with autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Hemiplegic, ensuring her health, safety, and emotional stability at all times.

    Assist with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, and ensure food and drinks are prepared at a safe temperature.

    Support the individual's social, emotional, and cognitive development, encouraging her to express her emotions, wants, and interests.

    Manage behaviors and provide adaptations for her unique needs, including perseveration and seizure disorder.

    Accompany the individual on outings in the community, ensuring her safety and well-being at all times.

    Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

    Requirements:

    Experience working with individuals with autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Hemiplegic is highly desirable.

    Ability to provide care and companionship with a focus on attention to detail and attention at all times.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with the individual and her support team.

    Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24-hour continual supervision.

    Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (as needed).

    Company Description: Hearten LLC supports young adults with developmental disabilities as they transition into adulthood. Founded in 2023, Hearten was created in response to the unique challenges young adults face as they move beyond school and into the next chapter of their lives.

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team at Hearten Day Program. As a BCBA, you will play a critical role in providing behavior analysis services to young adults with developmental disabilities. Your expertise will enable us to develop and implement effective behavior plans, providing guidance and support to our team members, and provide RBT training and supervision.

    Responsibilities:

    • Write comprehensive behavior plans to address the unique needs of our program participants
    • Provide guidance and training to support staff on implementing behavior plans and strategies
    • Conduct assessments and data collection to inform behavior plan development and modification
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
    • Maintain accurate records and reports, including behavior data and progress notes
    • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to program development and improvement

    Requirements:

    • Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA)
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of applied behavior analysis
    • Strong understanding of behavioral principles and theory
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Familiarity with Medicaid and insurance regulations (potential candidate will be trained on specifics)

    Job Type: Part-time (10 hours a week)
