    We're on the lookout for a dynamic Director to lead our After School Program for the school year. As the Director, you'll be the driving force behind every aspect of the operation of the Healthy Kids Program Site.

    LOCATION: Grimshaw Elementary School in LaFayette, NY
    PAY: $17.00 per hour
    JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
    HOURS: 2:15 pm - 6:00 pm

    JOB CONSISTS OF:

    Guiding Compliance: Make sure staff and programs follow OCFS regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules set by our host school.

    Bringing the Fun: Lead exciting, hands-on activities inspired by the Healthy Kids Curriculum covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. And when its homework time, youll be the ultimate homework hero!

    Managing Like a Pro: Oversee key management responsibilities such as keeping accurate attendance and registration records, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels to ensure the program runs seamlessly.

    Keeping Everyone Connected: Foster open communication with parents and families through the Playground App.

    Team Collaboration: Stay in consistent communication with your direct supervisor, keeping them updated on daily happenings and promptly addressing any issues that pop up. Together, well deliver top-tier care, nurture a positive work environment, and proactively overcome any challenges that arise.

    REQUIREMENTS
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    To qualify as a director, candidates must have one of the following:

    An Associate Degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field; plus two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory role within a child care or related program.

    OR

    A New York State Childrens Program Administrator Credential; plus two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including one year in a supervisory capacity within a child care or similar program.

    OR

    A School-Age Child Care Credential or another credential recognized by the office as specific to the school-age developmental period; plus two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including one year in a supervisory role in a child care or related field.

    OR

    Two years of college with at least 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related area; plus two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including one year in a supervisory role in a child care or related setting.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Youre medically cleared to perform all job duties and are free from communicable diseases, including TB.
    Youre positive, friendly, and upbeat with stellar communication skills that shine when engaging with children, parents, and coworkers. Dependable, professional, and punctual? Thats you!
    Youre physically ready to bend, stretch, lift, and carry (up to 50 lbs.) whatever it takes to keep pace with active kids.

    HOURS: 2:45 - 5:15 pm

    The After-School Program team is responsible for:

    Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities, along with homework assistance. Providing a safe, healthy, clean, and fun environment while serving as a positive role model for children in the program. Reporting to the program ready to work at scheduled times and remaining until the last child leaves the program. Communicating daily with parents and family members through the Playground App. Observing and complying with state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies. Certain positions may also perform management duties such as maintaining accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.

    Requirements
    MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
    Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
    Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
    Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
    Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.

Select positions may also perform management-related functions such as attendance accuracy, registration, and staffing assistance.

    Requirements

Some positions may involve management duties such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing coordination.

    Creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, clean, and enjoyable environment while serving as a positive role model for participating children.
    Arriving prepared to work at scheduled program times and remaining until the final child has exited the program.
    Communicating on a daily basis with parents and family members through the Playground App.
    Following and complying with state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school guidelines.
    Some roles may also include management-related duties such as maintaining accurate attendance records, supporting registration, and assisting with staffing.

    Requirements
    MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
    Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
    Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
    Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
    Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.

    LOCATION: Noxon Road Elementary School in Poughkeepsie, NY
    POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Childcare Program Staff
    PAY: $15.50 per hour
    HOURS: 7:00 am - 8:30 am and 3:00 - 6:00 pm

    The Before and After-School Program team is responsible for:

    Reporting to the program ready to work at designated times and be prepared to stay until the last child leaves the program.

    Observing and following state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
    Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
