The Lifepoint Business Services (LBS) Accounting team plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across Lifepoint's nationwide network. We focus on collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement while maintaining a strong control environment and supporting facility finance teams in achieving operational and strategic goals.
How you'll contribute
A Manager, Balance Sheet Management who excels in this role:
Responsible for timely reconciliation of designated accounts to policy standards including but not limited to full substantiation of balances, accurate aging and appropriate clearing of reconciling items
Manage a team of accountants that are responsible for account reconciliations across the enterprise
Responsible for performing reviews of team reconciliations in a timely manner and supporting issue resolution around complex reconciliations
Responsible for daily reporting at team and individual level of team throughput, work in process and accuracy Interface with the Site Liaison, site CFOs and module owners in the LBS Technical Accounting team to ensure period balances are supported with valid and adequate documentation Identify variances in methodologies and schedules across sites and support continuous improvement activities to standardize and automate processes
Support general ledger, subledger, and journal entry analysis as needed, including ability to use reporting tools such as OTBI to query transactions to perform necessary research and analysis
Possess ability to direct appropriate investigation and research of reconciliation variances Assist with special projects as needed and perform other duties as reasonably required to support HSC Accounting department.
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and healthcare industry regulations.
Assist in the research and application of new accounting standards and pronouncements and assist in analysis their impact.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.
What we're looking for
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Additional qualifications include:
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the healthcare or hospital industry.Previous supervisory/management experience, or 3+ years in a senior accountant role.Rehabilitation and/or behavioral health accounting experience preferred.Strong accounting and balance sheet management skills .Strong Excel and Power BI skills suggested.Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred; active license a plus.
Salary Range: $74,948 - $103,803 per year.
