    Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor Needed!

    Position Overview:

    Substance Abuse Counselor will be in charge with assisting patients through medically assisting programs and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts group sessions and individual sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Additionally, counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during therapy.  Substance abuse counselors may also need to collaborate with doctors, nurses and therapists for patients’ therapy and treatment for best overall outcome.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Qualifications:

    Health Care Resource Centers is looking for an effective Nurse Leader that has a distinct set of personal qualities: integrity, empathy, dedication to excellence, and an ability to handle stress. The lead nurse works in partnership with the Nurse Supervisor, Program/Medical Director, to ensure the delivery of adequate and qualitative level of nursing coverage for all program and dispensing and medical operations.  

      

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:   

    Ensure that Physician’s medication orders are enacted meeting time expectations, includes delivery to outside facilitiesResponsible for Medical Services to be in compliance with Federal and state regulationsDelegates tasks to certified nursing assistants, medication technicians, or an unlicensed person who is competent to perform those tasks. Communicates and collaborates with the Nursing Supervisor regarding potential issues.Schedule / Participate in Treatment Teams, Panel Review, Department Head and General Staff meetingsNursing team management - time clock edits as necessary, develop and manage schedules, conduct performance improvement activities, and prepare monthly reportsReview and Resolve client clinical complaints; intervene in crisis situationsPerforms miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

    Qualifications:  

    Licensed in MA as Licensed Practical Nurse or License Vocational Nurse with 3-5 years’ experience.Prior experience in substance abuse, mental health treatment, or addiction medicine preferredAccuracy of record keeping with understanding of HIPAA, Federal, State & CARF standards & regulationsStrong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.Fundamental knowledge of professional nursing principles, techniques, basic addiction medicine science, and of community health and welfare resourcesAbility to carry out written and oral instructions; to exercise judgment in the application of nursing care; to accept and use supervision; to work cooperatively with people; to maintain an objective attitude; to exercise tact and initiative; to stimulate patients and families to constructive actions; to grasp and apply the basic principles of administration and operation of a health program and to communicate effectively.Computer proficiency with EMR, Microsoft Suite.Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

    Salary Range:

    Salary ranges from $40.00 to $42 .02 an hour.

    Health Care Resource Center is looking for a detail oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse to dispense prescribed medications as part of a treatment team in partnership with Physicians and Nursing Supervisors. The dispensing nurse also shares responsibility of maintaining dispensing equipment, managing medication inventory and reporting patient treatment information. 

    An ideal dispensing nurse candidate works cooperatively with supervisory counseling staff and demonstrates a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward the Substance Use Disorder.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols. Use automated dispensing system(s), calibrate pump and maintain dispensing equipment Produce and maintain appropriate records and reports as required by Company protocol, Federal and State RegulationsEnsure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances as set forth in the Code of Federal regulationsOrder, receive and stock medication in accordance with DEA and State regulations. (If granted Power of Attorney)Provide daily assessment of patientsAssist Nursing Supervisor to orient new nursing staffOther related duties as determined by supervisor

    Qualifications:

    Current & good standing LPN license in the State of Massachusetts Current CPR certification required EMR & computer proficiency desiredExperience in chemical dependency preferred, self-motivated and directed, must have a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment.Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

    Salary Range:

    Salary ranges from $37.00 to $38.50 an hour.

    Compassionate Substance Use Counselor Needed!

    Position Overview:
    Substance use counselor will be in charge of assisting patients through medically assisting programs and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. Counselor conducts group sessions and individual sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Additionally, the counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during therapy.  Substance abuse counselors may also need to collaborate with doctors, nurses, and therapists for patients’ therapy and treatment for the best overall outcome.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Conducts individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determinationFacilitates establishes and reviews with each patient the initial treatment planCompletes Bio-psychosocial assessment.Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatmentInvolve families and significant others in patient’s recovery process whenever possibleRespond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaintsDevelop aftercare plans and discharge plansOther related duties as determined by the supervisor

    Qualifications:
