    Monday - Friday: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PMSaturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PMKey Responsibilities
    Provide individualized care in alignment with the Person-Centered and Behavior Support Plans.Maintain a calm, structured, and safe environment that promotes emotional stability.Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household upkeep.Support community engagement and outings (driving preferred).Implement behavior support and crisis plans as trained.Document services, incidents, and progress accurately and timely.Communicate effectively with family members, team leads, and supervisors.Attend required meetings and complete all assigned training.Qualifications
    High school diploma or GED required; degree in Human Services or related field preferred.Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting).Must pass all required background checks and TB screening.Strong communication, patience, and consistency when following support plans.Physical Requirements

    Individualized Day Services (IDS) - PRN DSP Floater
    Individual & Community Support
    Provide person-centered, hands-on support to individuals receiving Individualized Day Services across multiple locations.Assist with daily routines, personal care as needed, and individualized skill-building activities.Support individuals in community-based activities such as errands, recreation, volunteering, and social engagement.Adapt support approaches based on individual needs, preferences, and service plans.Independence & Skill Development
    Encourage independence, choice-making, and participation in meaningful activities.Support individuals in working toward individualized goals related to daily living, communication, and community participation.Promote inclusion and positive social interactions in community settings.Advocacy & Engagement
    Uphold the rights, dignity, and preferences of individuals supported.Serve as a positive representative of Health & Joy Services in community settings.Respond calmly and professionally to changing needs or environments.Documentation & Compliance
    Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with DDS and Health & Joy Services policies.Follow all organizational procedures, safety standards, and care guidelines.Teamwork & Communication
    Communicate effectively with supervisors, program staff, and team members regarding coverage and support needs.Participate in required trainings and professional development.
    Qualifications

    Education:
    High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
    Certifications:
    CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before hire).
    Clearances:
    Must pass background checks, FBI fingerprinting, and required health screenings.
    Experience:
    Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.Relevant life experience considered.
    Skills:
    Flexibility, reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.Comfortable supporting multiple individuals with varying needs.
    Availability Requirements:
    Must be available for a minimum of 4 shifts per month.Weekday daytime availability preferred for IDS coverage.

    Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.Education: High school diploma or GED.Background Check: Successful completion of a criminal background check, FBI fingerprinting, and drug screening, as required by DDS/DC regulations.Training: Completion of required DDS and provider-specific training (e.g., Phase I-IV, CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, Behavioral Support, and annual refresher trainings).Certification: Maintain all required certifications current and on file (e.g., CPR, First Aid, TB test).Competency: Demonstrated competency in providing person-centered supports, health and safety, rights and dignity, and community integration.Daily Documentation (Following Company Policy & DDS Standards)

    IDS DSPs are responsible for completing accurate and timely documentation each day in compliance with Health & Joy Services policies and DDS requirements. This includes:

    Daily Service Notes - Documenting the person's activities, level of engagement, progress toward goals, and supports provided.Health & Safety Records - Recording any incidents, injuries, behavioral events, or health concerns promptly.Attendance Logs - Ensuring hours of service are properly recorded and align with authorized schedules.Progress Tracking - Linking daily activities and supports to the individual's person-centered plan and identified outcomes.Compliance with Company Policies - Ensuring documentation meets agency quality standards, is free from errors, and is submitted within required timeframes.
