    Job Summary:

    As a vital member of our Clinical Care Team, the Allergy/Immunology Medical Assistant (AI MA) plays a key role in supporting both direct and indirect patient care. This position combines clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure optimal patient outcomes, exceptional customer service, and a professional environment for patients and staff.

      

    Education & Experience Requirements:

    Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program (MA, RMA, CMA required)1–2 years of experience in a medical office setting preferredPrior experience in Allergy and/or Immunology strongly preferredCurrent BLS and CPR certification preferred

      

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Schedule patient appointments and prepare charts for upcoming visitsInterview patients to gather medical history and measure vital signs, height, and weightEscort patients to exam rooms and assist with room turnoverDocument patient information, vital statistics, and test results in medical recordsAdminister medications and perform testing as directed by the physicianHandle patient phone calls, prescription refills, and prior authorizations for medications and      biologicsProvide patient education under provider guidanceMaintain clean and well-stocked treatment rooms and sterilize instrumentsEnsure OSHA compliance and maintain a safe working environmentAdhere to HIPAA guidelines and protect patient privacyMonitor inventory and order medical and office supplies as neededParticipate in ongoing training and professional developmentRequirements:

    Are you a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant, or a Licensed Practical Nurse, looking to take the next step in your healthcare career? ENT & Allergy Specialists is seeking a dedicated and compassionate RMA, CMA, or LPN to support a new physician joining our growing practice in July 2025.

    This dynamic role will involve traveling between our four office locations to assist the physician with clinic operations and patient care. We are looking for someone who is professional, organized, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment.


    About Us:

    ENT & Allergy Specialists is a leading practice of twelve board-certified Otolaryngologists and two Allergists committed to providing comprehensive care for both pediatric and adult patients. Our specialties include the diagnosis and treatment of conditions involving the ears, nose, throat, sinuses, hearing, allergies, thyroid, and head and neck cancers.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, pre-operative instructions, and medications.Coordinate and schedule surgeries and follow physician orders.Manage the physician’s clinic and surgical schedule.Assist with EMR documentation and various in-office procedures.Communicate test results as directed by the physician.Perform phone triage and patient follow-up.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.Obtain insurance pre-authorizations as needed.Complete medical leave paperwork for surgical patients.Attend staff meetings and ongoing training sessions.Maintain certifications such as CPR and Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP).

    What We’re Looking For:

    Licensed in Kentucky and Indiana as an LPN or credentialed as a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant.Familiarity with ENT conditions and surgical procedures preferred.Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills.Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.Understanding and adherence to HIPAA regulations.Positive team player with strong interpersonal communication skills.Willingness to travel between office locations and work flexible weekday hours.
