Job Summary and QualificationsUnder general supervision initiates, assesses, and evaluates all forms of respiratory therapy including bronchodilators, chest physical therapy, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive and invasive ventilator care. Exercises technical knowledge in respiratory anatomy, physiology, and pathology as well as the design and operations of all respiratory therapy equipment. The RCP demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to neonates, infants, children, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Position Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a staff position preferred.
Education:
Current permanent or temporary license issued by the Texas Department of Health to practice Respiratory Care. RRT/RCP
Special Qualifications:
Possesses knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the population of the patients served.
Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
Anyone assigned to PICU must maintain current PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
Anyone assigned to NICU must maintain current NRP certification from the American Heart Association.

What You Will Do In This Role:
You will be responsible for reviewing and completing appropriate paperwork on every patient as required including exam, scheduling, physician orders, department logs, imaging records, consents, medical records, and patient charges.
You will be responsible for transporting patients to and from their rooms and ER.
You will be responsible for monitoring the equipment for mechanical safety.
You will be responsible for explaining procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
You will be responsible for positioning patients on examining table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified are of body requested by Physician.
You will work as a team player and meet the needs of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
Graduate of an accredited MRI program is required.
ARRT (MR) required
Current TMB license/general medical rad tech
American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
