As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for the provision of computed tomographic radiographs to patients in accordance with physicians' orders. What You Will Do In This Role:
You will prepare patients for CT exam, explains procedure and ensure technical quality.
You will promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education.
You will possess knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to work accurately within the Imaging Department.
You will work as a team player and meet the needs of the Imaging Department.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
Associate Degree, Diploma or BSRT degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
Current licensure by the Texas Department of Health as an MRT/TMB license is required.
Current registration with ARRT(R)(CT) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) is required.
American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification is required.

Job Summary and QualificationsThe CT Technologist performs technical duties under the direction of the Manager, and/or Medical Director of Radiology and obtains quality diagnostic examinations while maintaining superior patient care and providing excellent customer service to patients, family, and all hospital staff.
What you will do in this role:
Maintains departmental compliance logs.Participates in performance improvement processes.Obtains quality diagnostic images according to protocolExam orders: ensures all orders have the required 5 elementsPACS: Scans in and labels documents appropriately, resolve QA issues in a timely manner, ensure images are released to radiologists in a timely manner.RIS: ensures orders are valid and entered appropriately, ensures ordering physician is correct, completes exams with accurate information, documents pertinent information.Participates in departmental accreditation processes and QA.Transports patients as necessary.Follows all radiation protection and dose reporting policies and processes.Ensures venipuncture is performed following all infection control processes and medication is administered to appropriate patients What qualifications you will need: 1+ years CT experience in an acute care hospital setting preferredBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateCertified Medical Radiologic TechnologistComputerized Tomography (CT)Registered Radiographer (ARRT)Associate Degree, or Bachelors DegreeHCA Houston Healthcare West is a full-service, 300+ bed hospital that has been offering exceptional care to the West Houston communities for over 30 years.
