The Operating Room Nurse Manager of the Main OR provides oversight and direction for the clinical practice of nursing and the delivery of patient care within the Main Operating Room. II. Position Requirements: A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the state of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification. B. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, strongly preferred. C. Experience: At least one year previous experience in charge/supervisory or management position. At least two years clinical experience in specialty. D. Special Qualifications: Comprehensive knowledge of perioperative services. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Plans, leads and directs the delivery of patient services by competent, trained staff. Works independently to effectively problem solve issues with staff and develop a workable solution. Communicates effectively both orally and in writing. Strong physician relations. Hiring, guidance, mentoring, evaluations and counseling of personnel. Tactful, assertive, strong attention to detail, and highly organized.
