Job Summary and QualificationsServes in the capacity of the Cardiovascular Technician; assisting in patient care through procedures. Directly involved inassisting with Cath Lab, EP, and Vascular procedures and the development of protocols. Job Summary and QualificationsProvides care for patients requiring MRI procedures.Performs all duties directly involved with proceduresutilizingMRI for diagnostic procedures.Operates equipment settingappropriate technicalfactors to produce diagnostic quality images according to radiology practice standards, and relay images along with pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation.Assistswith inventory management and patient scheduling.Takes backup call as assigned to provide after-hourshigh volumecoverage.All employees of North Florida Hospital will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission requirements, and National Patient Safety standards.
What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateMagnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start dateRegistered Radiographer (ARRT)State Registered Radiologic TechnicianGraduate from an accredited Radiology Technologist program. Job Summary and QualificationsProvides care for patients requiring Nuclear Medicine procedures. Performs all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and some therapeutic purposes in accordance with ALARA standards. Operates equipment utilized to measure radiation, produce images, quantify physiologic responses, and relay images and measurements to the physician for interpretation. Employs practices and techniques to ensure the safe handling of radioactive materials, especially when dosing patients with radiopharmaceuticals (both orally and intravenously) as prescribed and authorized by the responsible licensed physician.
