    Key Responsibilities:
    Serving as Project Manager, Design Manager or Project Engineer with full technical responsibility for planning, coordination, and execution of tasks for small or larger projectsPreparation of contract specifications and drawingsPlanning, design and construction of new pipelines (pressure and gravity) ranging in diameters and material type including condition assessment and prioritization and rehabilitation of existing pipelines Hydraulic modeling including interpretation of modeling results to inform design of new pipelines or rehabilitation of existing pipelinesPipe design calculations to determine pipe size, pressure class, external loads including trench design, pipe joint selection, etc.Technical expertise in the layout and profiles of pipeline design in AutoCAD Civil 3DUtility investigations and coordination to determine and resolve potential vertical and horizontal utility conflictsKnowledge of subsurface and geotechnical engineering requirementsField surveying project requirementsDevelopment and review of technical reports, proposals, contract documents, resources studies, and data analysisOffice and field engineering support during constructionExperience with leading business development activities and leading proposal efforts for water and wastewater conveyance facilities, pump stations, or types of facilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Key Responsibilities:
    Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team on design projects, including overseeing the production of construction drawings, specifications, and other bid documents.Lead, manage, and prepare engineering studies and preliminary engineering design studies. Lead and manage proposal pursuits for new project and client opportunities. Support other projects within the Dam, Levee and Hydropower Services Group with geotechnical design items. Support other projects across the firm with geotechnical items, issues, and subcontractors. Develop and implement quality control plans for your work and serve as a quality reviewer for work performed by others. Successfully interface with and develop relationships with clients and other stakeholders. Perform the work with limited oversight or supervision. Lead and collaborate with others, and mentor and develop junior staff. Possess fundamental knowledge of geotechnical engineering; specifically, as it relates to embankment stability, seepage, internal erosion, settlement, and instrumentation. Possess professional organizational, writing, and verbal communication skills. Up to 20% travel across Hazen's Mid-Atlantic region, with occasional travel across the continental U.S. for projects, group planning, and technical conferences
    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geologic Engineering, or equivalent is required. Master of Science/Engineering degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geologic Engineering, or equivalent is a plus. Licensed professional engineer in at least one state is required (GA, NC, and VA preferred) with the ability to become licensed in multiple states. Minimum 10 years of progressive engineering experience on heavy civil infrastructure, dam, levee, hydropower, and/or water resource projects. Minimum 3 years of project management experience on heavy civil infrastructure, dam, levee, hydropower, and/or water resource design projects. Experience that includes production of construction documents is a plus. Experience analyzing and designing solutions for geo-structural projects is a plus. Professional society involvement/volunteerism at the State or National level is a plus. Risk assessment experience and/or training is a plus.
