    Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) – Day Habilitation and IRAs

    1. Qualifications

    A. Minimum Masters' Degree in Education or Behavior Psychology or a related field

    B. Work Experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities/OPWDD

    C. Licensed Behavior Analyst, Board Certified Behavior Analyst

    D. Knowledge of educational, behavioral procedures, principles and technology

    E. Sensitivity to the needs of the program participants

    F. Ability to flex work hours as needed to go to IRAs in late afternoons, evenings or weekends

    Specific Responsibilities

    A. Reviews pre-placement, psychological, educational, residential, social, and medical assessments and makes recommendations to the Admissions Team regarding the appropriateness of placement for meeting a consumer’s needs.

    B. Ongoing review of Life Plans to ensure appropriateness of placement, goals and objectives, educational methods, and related services.

    C. Reviews Plans to ensure compliance with existing regulations and agency philosophy.

    D. Conducts reviews to ensure the program participants are served according to LP goals E. Participates in Human Rights Committee Meetings to present program participants behavioral

    data, address and discuss the issues and to follow up on the recommendations made by the Committee.

    E. Reviews incidents involving behavioral issues.

    F. Observes staff interaction with program participants, provide feedback, collects data and ensure data is graphed.

    G. Develops and trains staff in behavioral principles and ABA technology and individualized behavior programs.

    H. Ensures proper oversight of behavior programs, and of training for staff and program participants.

    I. Participates in updating Agency policies and procedures related to behavior programming/ABA

    J. In conjunction with HR/Training and colleagues, creates and leads orientation and ongoing training for new employees with regards to behavioral principles

    K. Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments for individuals in the programs (DH and IRAs) as needed.

    L. Writes, trains, and implements behavior support plans as needed for individuals in the programs (DH and IRAs).

    M. Collaborates with program staff on daily curriculum aligned with individual valued outcomes.

    N. Mentors and supervises staff for certification as Registered Behavior Technician and/or BCBA.

    O. Accompany individuals on psychiatry appointments as needed.

    P. Visits residents at IRAs as needed to manage behavior challenges, implement behavior strategies, and trains staff on behavior plans.

    Q. Participates in the screening/interview process for applicants, makes recommendations on hiring.

    General Responsibilities

    A. Follows all Hawthorne Foundation Inc. Policies and Procedures and Mission.

    B. Participates in team meetings and on Agency Committees as needed.

    C. Assumes additional responsibilities as necessary.

    D. Directly responsible for program participants’ health, safety, and welfare.

    TEACHER’S ASSISTANT

    Qualifications:Associate Degree from an accredited college or 48 credits at a 4-year accredited college is preferred.Minimum High School Diploma/GED (must be equivocated if foreign).NYSED Teacher Assistant Certification or willingness to become certified within 6 months of employment.A genuine interest in teaching and willingness to motivate students to learn.Sensitivity to the needs of all students.A desire to acquire effective training techniques in behavior analysis programming

    Accountability:Directly accountable to the Classroom Teacher, Senior Teacher and coordinator of Program

    Responsibilities:Directly responsible to specific group assignments.Responsible for implementation of daily and weekly programs as assigned by NYSED certified teacher for each student in the assigned group.Assist in any clerical work (i.e., daily attendance, requisitions, trip lists, graphing data).Responsible for carrying out daily schedules as developed and planned.Responsible for participating in in-service training, CPR, and behavior analysis training programs and completing one book/quiz per month.Instruct students in daily proper hygiene habits.Assists in accompanying students to the medical office and off-grounds medical appointments or other services as needed.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years’ experience in marketing, community outreach and social media development

    Accountability:

    Reports directly to the Executive Director and indirectly to the Director of Human Resources for tasks related to employee recruitment.


    Specific Job Responsibilities:

    Assists ED with development, distribution, and maintenance of print and electronic materials, including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, press releases and Agency website for the purpose of program enrollment, employee recruitment and community outreach.

    Keeps abreast of new trends in social media.

    Identifies the tactics and platforms, including social media, that will be most effective in reaching a specified target audience for program enrollment, employee recruitment/retention, program development.

    Monitors and updates Agency Constant Contact list and other databases, including IRIS alert system, used for outreach by the Agency.

    Monitors and updates Agency website and social media accounts.

    Solicits input from Program Coordinators/Principals and ED in order to understand the needs of the programs in terms of marketing and outreach for enrollment, recruitment and program development.

    Builds HFI’s brand and marketing communications in order to raise awareness of, and interest in the Agency in the communities we serve.

    Investigates possibilities for Agency partnerships and strategic alliances that will extend the Agency’s brand in the community and increase avenues of support for program development, enrollment and recruitment.

    Puts communications vehicles in place to create momentum and awareness as well as to test the effectiveness of communications activities.

    Works with ED and other Agency staff (HR/Training, Admissions) as needed to develop print, photographic and video materials to enhance marketing and training initiatives.

    Attends relevant community meetings and events.

    Assists in the coordination of special events and collaborates with HFDC on fundraising materials and marketing.

    Analyzes data from marketing initiatives and social media and website traffic to evaluate the results of all marketing/community outreach initiatives and recommends modifications or new strategies aligned with industry best practices to support the achievement of marketing and community outreach goals.

    In collaboration with the WSA Principal, develops and leads work-based learning activities to give HS students opportunities to learn and utilize computers, including for marketing various school activities.

    Collaborates with Compliance Officer and other staff to develop training scripts, videos and flyers to train staff in compliance and other Agency matters.

    Designs various branded materials for use at the Agency and for the purpose of marketing and sales.

    Develops and maintains ecommerce systems and transactions on website store page and through official merchandise platforms.

    Creates and maintains archive system for all past and present HFI media, including photos, videos, news articles, to preserve Agency history.

    Monitors inquiries on Agency website and implements features to support 24/7 customer service response, including use of chat bot.

    Stays abreast of information related to artificial intelligence and its impact on Agency media and operations and collaborates with IT vendor on AI initiatives.

    Assists with updates to Electronic Media Acceptable Use and other relevant policies.


    General Responsibilities:


    Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

    Participates in in-service training.

    Job Responsibilities (Residential Manager):

    Supervise and coordinate efforts of staff assigned to the residence.Schedule and chair weekly staff meetings.Accurately complete residential reports and attend all Program Planning Team meetings (annual, semi-annual, and other).Acts as liaison between all contracted services and agencies for the IRA-facilitating prompt notification and coordination of contracted services.Guarantee that any deficiencies present in the physical environment are corrected in a timely fashion. Ensures compliance with regulations (federal, state and local) and agency policies and procedures.Develop and maintain records of emergency evacuation (fire drills) in accordance with state and federal regulations.Develops a budget for the home, and ensures that operations of the home fall within these budgetary guidelines.Participates in In-Service training.Becomes certified in First Aid, CPR, SCIP, Medication Administration within 3 months of employment.Directly responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all consumers residing within this home.Follows all Hawthorne Foundation policies and procedures.On call 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

    Qualifications

    o Must have an electronic device, such as smartphone to clock in/out.

    The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays an integral role in the lives of the people we support. The DSP will provide direct assistance in all aspects of daily living, enabling the greatest level of independence possible and the best quality of life as one is able to experience. Depending on the needs of the individual, tasks could include providing direct personal care or assistance with: hygiene, housekeeping, laundry, cooking, medication and appointments, behavioral interventions, etc.

    Requirements: HS/GED, a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive the agency van. No Prior experience needed (paid training).
