About the Role
Haskell & White Talent Solutions is conducting a search on behalf of a client for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team on a part-time basis, with a clear path to full-time. This person will work closely alongside the current accounting lead, learning the business deeply and taking ownership of day-to-day accounting and compliance functions across two entities.
This is more than a transactional accounting role. Our client is looking for someone with the maturity, judgment, and technical foundation to grow with the company over time and take on increasing responsibility as the role evolves. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions across two entities with accuracy and consistency
- Process payroll for both entities
- Oversee compliance-related accounting tasks including government contract requirements and DCAA compliance
- Support tax preparation by maintaining clean, organized financials for review
- Manage inventory tracking and related recordkeeping
- Handle HR and administrative finance tasks as needed
- Work within QuickBooks (defense and government-compliant version) and maintain organized paper and digital filing systems
- Partner closely with ownership on financial reporting and business decisions as the role evolves
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and build stronger financial infrastructure over time
Qualifications
- Solid hands-on accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with QuickBooks, including government and defense-compliant versions preferred
- Familiarity with government contracting and DCAA compliance is a plus but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in both paper-based and digital systems

Compensation
