    Responsibilities:

    Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of floodplains and floodways (bridge and culvert crossings)
    Analyze flood problem areas to identify problems, look for solutions, and create a design with recommended alternatives
    Stormwater system analysis and design for municipal/roadway projects (conveyance, storage, and stormwater quality best management practices)
    Design of soil erosion/sediment control practices
    Serve as the technical lead on projects
    Perform a variety of design tasks (calculations/models, report/plan preparation, quantity calculations, construction details, specifications, cost estimates, and other related tasks)
    Work on multi-discipline projects with other disciplines
    Review engineering work completed by others
    Build/maintain client and vendor relationships
    Mentor/train junior staff


    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
    Master's degree preferred
    6+ years of water resources experience
    Experience with municipal and/or highway drainage design projects
    PE License for Illinois and/or Indiana
    Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferred
    Proficient in Microstation
    Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (including HEC-RAS and SWMM)
    Experience in AutoCad preferred
