    *Job Overview*

    We are seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our clients are served with the highest quality of care standards and that our employees will exceed in their job duties caring for our individuals.

    Responsibilities
    Maintains a thorough knowledge of Quality Assurance policies and procedures, responsibilities and Duties,Quality Improvement processes/protocols, and updates to OPWDD regulations.

    Coordinates and conducts trainings/in-services and orientations to staff. Along with the Corporate Compliance Officer duties, participate in corporate compliance in services for administrators, staff, vendors, clinicians, and parents.Performs daily examinations of program functions, and system basis and provides systematic follow-up.Responsible for maintaining appropriate documents, records, statistics, reports, evaluations, and etcInvestigate all incidents for the program and follow up with the appropriate filing for all incidentsRegular auditing of program documents to ensure programatic compliance as per agency and state regulations.Responsible for staying abreast of OPWDD/OMIG regulations and changes to ensure compliance.Upload investigations into OPWDD, IRMA, and WSIR websites.Arrange and participate in meetings for the Incident Review Committee.Arrange all required training and in-services for staff in Incident Reporting, protocols, and updates.Serves as a liaison between program directors, parents, staff, and community agencies.All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications and Skills

    Qualified applicants will be required to submit a sample internal investigation which will demonstrate knowledge of step-by-step process, and conclusion.Bachelor's degree required, in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related field.

    Preferred Experience

    Two years of administrative and QA/training duties, with at least two years working with developmentally/physically/mentally disabled population.Excellent computer and typing skillsDemonstrated competency in written, verbal and computational skills to present documents in accordance with program standards.

    Shift availability:

    Day Shift (Required); On-call (for after hours incident reporting needs);

    Work Location: In person; and Must be willing to travel to locations needed to carry out investigations.

    Overview: Home and Community Based Services Programs Director needed to oversee Harris Hands Community Services, inc. waiver programs located in the Bronx, NY in accordance with the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities and Harris Hands guidelines and regulations. The ideal candidate is detailed oriented, task driven, experienced in OPWDD Waiver services and has a flexible work schedule to attend to the needs of the programs. This Waiver Services Director is able to work in a fast past environment and will ensure that all waiver services have proper oversight, staff are trained as per OPWDD regulations, help programs grow, develop new programs and supervise the program supervisors.

     

    Job duties will include but is not limited to the following:

    To provide oversight and ensure that the department is in accordance/compliance with OPWDD and Harris Hands Community Services, inc. regulations.To facilitate one to one supervision with the staff on a monthly basis.To facilitate and ensure staff trainings in accordance with OPWDD regulations.To maintain ongoing communication with staff, participants, their families and Care Managers.To Maintain and develop ongoing relationships with OPWDD liaisons and vendors.To increase program rosters and enroll new clients into programs as needed.To fill staff vacancies as needed.To carry out other related duties as assigned by your supervisor.

     

    The candidate must have the following skills, education and experience:
