Coordinate upcoming schedules for crews with PM and effectively communicate schedules to crews.Train and equip employees on a regular basis. Educate employees with technical knowledge required on a project-level basis.Gauge labor needs; interview and recommend personnel for hire as needed.Motivate the work force, reward employees for good work, and take appropriate measures when work is below standard.Immediately address all quality or production issues.Initiate formal and informal feedback conversations regarding:The workers future and goals within the company.Employee concerns and complaints regarding conflicts and performance.Proposal Development:
Schedule site visits with clients to review potential projects in a timely manner.Develop a scope of work narrative based upon site visit. This includes identifying necessary safety measures, manpower requirements, material needs, equipment needed to complete work, project schedule, etc.Identify critical path and draft corresponding schedule.Communicate with and assist PM through process of drafting Proposals / Estimates for potential projects. Review proposals prior to distribution to client.Routinely schedule site visits with established clients to identify future projects.Serve as the foremost technical authority for all proposals. Provide Project Management team with necessary knowledge to build an accurate estimate, schedule, and proposal.Project Planning:
Review upcoming projects onsite with clients prior to mobilization.Identify and report changes in scope or site conditions so that Harper may pursue and recover fair compensation for changes.Identify and report potential RFIs that need to be answered prior to mobilization.Review submittals for any permanent materials and/or process equipment prior to mobilization. Ensure crews are prepared and equipped to install appropriately.Review executed commitments for Trade Partners that are a part of upcoming work to understand their contractual responsibilities.Lead Trade Partner coordination meetings, as necessary.Review proposals and/or relevant contract documents for upcoming work.Identify material needs based upon project documents. Perform takeoffs as necessary. Superintendent shall daily supervise all Trade Partners, vendors, consultants, and Assistant Superintendents. This supervision shall ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work performed. This position shall be responsible for monitoring project security personnel.

Essential Functions:
Act as the main contact for the project at the jobsite. Oversee the project to make all critical field decisions.Oversee the project to ensure proper project decisions regarding: Scheduling. Ensure Harper safety requirements are explained, implemented, and demonstrated. Develop and implement working relationship with Safety Manager. Project specific safety pre-planning. Coordinate with Safety Manager to develop a project-site specific SOAR orientation document. SOAR implementation if allowing other Harper staff to conduct orientations ensure proper message and execution of the document. OSHA standards are understood and followed based on the actions of workers on the job. Perform weekly Toolbox Talks with all active trades. Conduct Safety Stand down training as necessary. Participate in the timely and effective investigations of all incidents including injuries, property damage, behavioral issues and near misses. Conduct weekly site safety inspections in Procore.Ensure an accurate and up to date procurement log.Ensure and is responsible for creating Schedules alongside PM. Develop and manage takes the lead on project QAQC. QA example: Pre-installation meetings. QC example: Visual and documents inspections of work in place.Oversee coordination of all trade partners. Project site specific logistics/use including associated rules. Scheduling of each trade. Developing and implementing recovery strategies to maintain project schedule. Clarity of design versus (RFIs). Schedule for the trades (durations and commitments of durations).Supervise field staff to ensure staff development. This includes Assistant Superintendents, Foreman, Field Engineers, and Interns. Also includes assisting in the development of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.Manage timesheets for field staff.Manage and complete all daily reports.Manage all jobsite equipment.Have working knowledge of local building codes.Have working knowledge of all ADA code requirements.Ensure implementation of all required inspections for the project.Ensure by documenting and executing a proper Harper punch list prior to inviting Owner and Design Team punch list.Estimating and Preconstruction: Can affectively assist in Harpers efforts regarding estimating, scheduling, interviewing, etc.Procore Fill-In Daily Log. Can effectively solve clashes and conflicts of building systems in a manner that does not compromise the engineered basis of design. Also show the ability to understand when documentation is required related to drawing and specification updates and or cost impacts. Develop and supervise an affective QAQC program. Supervise a project utilizing BIM technologies: Coordinate a 3D design for conflicts. Coordinate a 3D design layout in the field. Utilize BIM Glue and Navisworks software when appropriate to assist in the BIM process on a project. OSHA 30 certified. Proven track record of a strong safety culture on the jobsite is a leader in safety. Has experience building from the ground up on more than 5 projects as a Superintendent. Understand construction means and methods for all scopes of work. Ability to communicate and develop relationships with City, local agencies and utility representatives.
