Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting & Repair: Utilize your mechanical and electrical expertise to troubleshoot and repair various packaging machines, with a focus on multi-head weighers. Provide on-site and remote support to resolve customer issues efficiently.Installation: Conduct installations of a variety of packaging equipment including tray formers, tray sealers, fillers, dosers, form/fill/seal machines, and more.Customer Support: Deliver exceptional customer service by proactively identifying solutions, following up on customer inquiries, and providing technical phone support.Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and service managers to address complex issues and continuously improve service delivery.Training & Documentation: Participate in training programs and document service calls and solutions in detail. Utilize technology tools to ensure efficient reporting and knowledge retention.Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a technical field with at least 3 years of troubleshooting mechanical and electrical machine issues. Prior experience with multi-head weighers is essential.Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems. Ability to work with high precision and close tolerance proficiency.Education: High school diploma or GED required. Technical schooling and/or work experience in electricity, electronics, or equipment maintenance.Travel: Willingness to travel 70-85% of the time to support customer needs. Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel.Computer Skills: Familiarity with MS Office Suite and Windows platform. Ability to use service databases and CRMs (e.g., Filemaker).Communication: Excellent communication and customer service skills. What You’ll Be Doing:Designing, developing, and testing control systems for automation and manufacturing.
Supporting PLC programming and troubleshooting control logic.
Creating and modifying HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens for system operations.
Assisting in electrical schematic design and wiring diagrams.
