    Board Certified Behavioral Analyst Job Description

    As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) / Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) at Harc, Inc. Steppingstones, a state-contracted Birth to Three program, your role will be to support the developmental needs of children enrolled in our program. A heavy focus will be on supporting children’s communication and social-emotional development, particularly those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The BCBA may also support infants and young toddlers experiencing significant mental health or behavioral concerns.

    The BCBA will conduct evaluations/assessments and use the information gathered to help determine a child’s eligibility for services, as well as develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). As a member of the IFSP team, the BCBA will function as families’ Primary Service Provider (PSP) or Supporting Service Provider (SSP). As a family’s PSP, the BCBA will serve as their main point of contact and provide the majority of their services. As a family’s SSP, the BCBA will support the family’s PSP to learn and carryover strategies to support the child’s development.

    In both of their roles as a PSP and SSP, the BCBA will develop and implement behavior plans (e.g., Functional Behavior Analyses (FBAs)), and/or develop and implement learning programs. The BCBA will also oversee data collection to monitor child progress and inform decisions about ongoing service delivery.

    All services provided occur in each child’s natural environment (e.g., their home or daycare), and within the context of their everyday routines and activities (e.g., dressing/diapering, mealtime, play). Using coaching as a style of interaction the BCBA will ensure the child’s parents’/caregivers are understanding of strategies to support their development. In addition, the BCBA will support their team members’ understanding of strategies to support each child’s development.

    The BCBA/LBA will attend weekly staff meetings with their regional team and meet monthly with the Program Director for 1:1 supervision.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Position Summary/Overview

    Provide remote support and guidance, using the Harc Remote Support and iLink technology, to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, and older adults—ensuring meaningful connection and access to care. This is an in-person role. The Connection and Support Specialist is responsible for remotely monitoring from Harc’s Hartford, CT call center, the safety, wellbeing, and independence of individuals served in remotely supported homes and programs. Using camera and sensor technology, the Connection and Support Specialist supports daily routines, identifies concerns, and coordinates staff response when needed. This role requires attentiveness, strong judgment, and a commitment to person-centered practices.

    Essential Functions / Core Responsibilities

    System Monitoring & Alarm Response:
    Initiate and maintain active connections to all monitored sites at the start of each shift. Conduct hourly (or as-needed) checks on camera and sensor functionality, responding promptly and appropriately to any alarms or alerts.Staffing Oversight & Deployment:
    Monitor staff presence and ensure compliance with minimum staffing ratios. Notify supervisors of shortages and deploy staff as necessary to meet scheduled or emergency needs, including health, safety, behavior support, and teaching interactions.Emergency Response:
    Evaluate alarm-related activity and contact on-site staff or emergency services (e.g., 911) when immediate danger is detected.Documentation:
    Accurately log shift activities, system checks, staff actions, and individual’s concerns in accordance with documentation standards.Technical Troubleshooting:
    Address connectivity or software issues using reconnection protocols. Notify on-site staff if a location becomes unmonitored and escalate unresolved issues to the Senior Director and/or Director of Remote Supports.Technology Management & Footage Review:
    Support technology updates and configuration. Review video footage for incidents (e.g., ANE) or training. Notify leadership if footage must be saved.Team Collaboration & Problem Solving:

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Registered Nurse to coordinate and monitor healthcare services for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities living in Harc’s group homes and/or participating in Harc’s day programs. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in best practices for documentation and compliance and DDS policies and procedures, and will bring a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of the individuals we serve while collaborating closely with the staff in the programs, families and the care teams associated with the individuals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Coordinate health care services based on needs for the individual under the direction of DDS regulations and policies.Creates and coordinates comprehensive individualized nursing care plans for individuals.Advocates and educates those under their care and their families and staff.Completion of medical documentation, including but not limited to, Nursing Assessments, Self-Medication Assessments, referrals for consultation, Nursing Quarterly Audits, and Medication Administration oversight.Directly manage medical services provided to participants in Harc’s programs.Conducts training for staff in health-related topics at New Employee Orientation, annual training courses and as necessary.Delegates initial and annual nursing procedures to staff and determines if further training or re-delegation is needed. Observes medication certified staff during medication passes.Provides direct hands-on clinical support and assessments as necessary within DDS regulations while adhering to Nursing Best Practices and Standards of Care.Completes medication audits per DDS regulations.Updates medical plans and protocols as necessary including fall risk assessments plans for participants as required by DDS annually.Functions as an endorsed medication administration instructor for Harc and teaches the Medication Certification course. Retrains staff who have failed the re-certification process and sanctions staff with multiple errors.

    Summary Description:

    The Program Manager provides case management services and is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the appropriate programmatic designation for Harc Day Programs individuals who are assigned to his/her caseload. They are the primary liaison between Harc and funding agencies (Department of Developmental Services, local Boards of Education, Bureau of Rehabilitation Services), parents, and residential providers. The Program Manager is responsible for writing timely, comprehensive reports, attending scheduled individual planned meetings, completing all other necessary paperwork. Will provides direct care support with participants when needed.

    Program Manager will directly supervise direct support staff during the daily functions of the program. Providing supports and direction as needed and working with the Assistant Director to correct performance deficits through training to insure active engagement with the individuals and to assist with adequately meeting the objective of the individual’s plans. Program Manager will be responsible for logistical functions, problem solving, and assume a supervisory role.

    Essential Job Functions:

    1. Support Harc in advancing its mission by supporting its community and governmental advocacy efforts; demonstrating individual care and respect in all interactions with people and supporting activities that promote Harc’s financial stability, including attending or otherwise supporting major fundraisers.

    2. Coordinates and communicates the total program plan of individuals with intellectual disability assigned to caseload. Collects, organizes and analyzes information about participants through records, tests, interviews, and staff input in order to assess interests, aptitudes, manual skills, emotional maturity, social adaptation and other abilities. Assists participants with personal needs when necessary.

    3. Coordinates the Individual Plan and assumes responsibility for monitoring implementation of Individual Plan and Action Plan. Attends individual meetings: provides programmatic input at yearly and scheduled meetings.

    4. Completes and keeps current all necessary paperwork surrounding the individuals’ including but not limited to Individual Plans, Semi-Annual Progress Reports, WATER Safety Assessments and Protocols, DDS Emergency Fact Sheets, Harc’s Emergency Cards, Action Plans, Attendance records, and other correspondence. Writes reports as necessary: accumulates day program and behavioral data generated from a variety of sources including situational assessments, progress reports, behavioral plans, and staff input. Develops comprehensive Action Plans that includes individual objectives. Forwards completed reports to the appropriate funding agency representative following established timelines. Completes and maintains accurate and complete participant records: meets Harc’s and Medicaid reporting requirements. Provides follow-up and follow along services for caseload individuals’ discharged from program.

    5. Directs and assists staff in planning, coordinating, and implementing comprehensive services and supports for individuals in Harc’s Day Programs.

    6. Follows appropriate safety practices in Harc’s Day Programs: establishes a culture of safety for both staff and individuals.

    7. Instructs staff in best practices in working with individuals with intellectual disability. Offers feedback directly support staff, Provides direct supervision to support staff based on the union contract and agency policy and procedures.

    8. Perform logistical functions as needed such as but not limited to daily staffing assignments, individual daily attendance.

    9. Will perform payroll functions, monitor staff time and attendance and supervise accordingly.

    As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Harc, Inc. Steppingstones, a state-contracted Birth to Three program, your role will be to support the developmental needs of children enrolled in our program. A heavy focus will be on supporting children’s communication development. The SLP may also support infants and young toddlers with feeding/swallowing concerns, in consultation with the child’s medical team.

    The SLP will conduct evaluations/assessments and use the information gathered to help determine a child’s eligibility for services, as well as develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). As a member of the IFSP team, the SLP will function as families’ Primary Service Provider (PSP) or Supporting Service Provider (SSP). As a family’s PSP, the SLP will serve as their main point of contact and provide the majority of their services. As a family’s SSP, the SLP will support the family’s PSP to learn and carryover strategies to support the child’s development.

    In both of their roles as a PSP and SSP, the SLP will recommend strategies to support children’s development across developmental areas, with a focus on their receptive and expressive communication. This may include the use of augmentative or alternative communication (AAC) systems. The SLP will also oversee data collection to monitor child progress and inform decisions about ongoing service delivery.

    All services provided occur in each child’s natural environment (e.g., their home or daycare), and within the context of their everyday routines and activities (e.g., dressing/diapering, mealtime, play). Using coaching as a style of interaction, the SLP will ensure the child’s parents’/caregivers are understanding of strategies to support their development. In addition, the SLP will support their team members’ understanding of strategies to support each child’s development.

    The SLP will attend weekly staff meetings with their regional team and meet monthly with the Program Director for 1:1 supervision.

    Key Responsibilities:
