    About Hall and Hall 

    Founded in 1946, Hall and Hall has provided comprehensive rural real estate services across the West, including brokerage, auctions, financing, appraisals, and ranch management.     This position is on-site at a Hall and Hall office. Current locations: Billings or Bozeman, MT; Eaton or Steamboat Springs, CO; Weatherford, College Station, or Lubbock, TX; Charlottesville, VA; or Sun Valley, ID.

    Position Summary

    Hall and Hall is seeking a business-minded technology leader to serve as the company's single point of leadership for all technology functions. This role is responsible for both the strategic direction of the technology environment and the day-to-day oversight of vendor-managed services, including software platforms, client relationship management, marketing automation, artificial intelligence tools, helpdesk support, and cybersecurity.

    The ideal candidate is equally comfortable negotiating vendor contracts, advising leadership, and troubleshooting operational issues as they arise. Hands-on experience supporting a CRM-driven business and managing third-party software platforms is essential.

    Key Responsibilities

    Vendor & Contract Management

    Serve as the primary relationship manager for all third-party technology vendors, including software, CRM, artificial intelligence, helpdesk, and cybersecurity providersNegotiate, review, and manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and renewalsMonitor vendor performance against agreed service standards and hold vendors accountable for service qualityEvaluate new vendors and technologies as business needs evolve

     

    Strategic Technology Planning

    Develop and maintain the company's overall technology roadmap in alignment with business goalsAdvise executive leadership on technology investments, risks, and opportunitiesIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, or leverage new tools (including artificial intelligence) across the organizationManage the annual technology budget, including software subscriptions, vendor services, and hardware

     

    Security & Compliance

    Oversee the company's cybersecurity posture in partnership with the managed security vendorEnsure compliance with applicable data privacy and security regulations relevant to the industryMaintain and periodically test the company's business continuity and disaster recovery plansConduct periodic risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls are in place

     

    Operations & Systems Oversight

    Ensure all vendor-managed systems are functioning, integrated, and meeting employee needs, including the Salesforce (Propertybase) CRM platform, HubSpot marketing automation, and the company websiteServe as the internal escalation point when vendor-managed helpdesk or systems issues are not resolved in a timely mannerOversee employee onboarding and offboarding as it relates to system access, accounts, and hardwareMaintain an accurate inventory of all software licenses, hardware assets, and technology subscriptions

     

    Leadership & Communication

    Act as the technology liaison between departments, translating business needs into technology requirementsCommunicate technology updates, outages, and initiatives clearly to staff and leadershipDevelop and enforce internal technology policies, acceptable use guidelines, and security awareness practicesTrain staff on new tools and systems as needed

     

    Qualifications (Required)

    5 or more years of experience in technology management, technology operations, or a related roleDemonstrated experience managing third-party technology vendors and service agreementsHands-on experience supporting a CRM platform (Salesforce or comparable) in a business settingStrong understanding of software-as-a-service platforms, cloud-based systems, and managed servicesWorking knowledge of cybersecurity principles and compliance frameworksExcellent communication, negotiation, and project management skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize across multiple competing demands

     

    Preferred

    Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related fieldDirect experience with Salesforce (Propertybase a plus), HubSpot, or comparable platformsExperience with artificial intelligence tools and platforms in a business environmentFamiliarity with industry-relevant security and compliance standardsRelevant technology or project management certifications
