Role Overview
Hagood & Hagood is seeking a Senior Associate or Junior Partner with 7+ years of litigation experience . If you are a senior associate or junior partner looking for an opportunity to grow and take your career to the next level, this position is for you. You will drive the cases and develop the strategies to discuss with clients. You will also have the support of senior trial lawyers, but we support you trying your own cases if you demonstrate the skills to do so. Prior business and commercial litigation experience is required. Trial experience is highly desired.
Your Day-to-Day
Draft and review substantive pleadings and motions, analyze discovery issues, and prepare reports for clients.
Attend court hearings, depositions, meetings with clients, and negotiate settlements.
Assist with trial preparation and attend trial.
Work collaboratively with Partners and Of Counsel attorneys, preparing and conducting depositions, oral arguments, settlement negotiations, and client reporting.
Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting your practice area.
Manage associates, paralegals, and legal assistants as necessary and appropriate.
Communicate in a highly effective manner with team members and clients.
Requirements
What You Bring
7+ years of experience in business and commercial litigation, or equivalent, is required.
Trial experience is strongly preferred.
Licensed member of the Florida Bar and in good standing, required.
An unwavering commitment to exceptional client service.
Must be competent & proficient in the use of Word, Microsoft Office, & Excel.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
