The Job Captain produces construction documents based on the scope of work and schedule set by the Project Manager. The Job Captain makes design, code compliance, and construction detail decisions. The Job Captain oversees, trains, and is supported by Designers and Drafters.

    Responsibilities

    About the Position
    The Designer Drafter is responsible for performing architectural assignments with minimal supervision. The Designer Drafter develops and incorporates design intent into a quality set of construction documents. The Designer Drafter also assists Job Captain with completion of high-quality drawings and presentation materials from schematic design through construction administration.

    Job Responsibilities


    Prepare preliminary design based on requirements or program.

    Review design with Job Captain, Project Manager, and if directed, with client for approval.

    Possesses basic knowledge of required programs:

    Auto CadRevitSketchupAdobe Suite

    Prepare construction documents / details for submittal.

    Apply codes.

    Submit project to the city and respond to the city comments with oversight.

    Approve submittals during construction administration phase with oversight.

    Performs day-to-day operations of all project phases with oversight.

    Perform assignments as required and directed.

    Assist Job Captain and Project Manager with coordination of architectural design with external consultant.

    Manages design hours on projects per established budget.

    Responsible for the accurate completion of construction document production and coordination.

    Responsible for code review on his/her projects with Job Captain or Project Manager.

    Responsible for deadlines on their projects.

    Reach out to vendors for receiving sample materials.

    Thorough investigation as-built conditions, verification of field conditions, and ADA assessments.

    Responsibilities

    Master Planning

    POSITION OVERVIEW
    The BIM Specialist / Manager is a critical technical leadership role responsible for implementing, managing, and advancing Building Information Modeling standards and workflows across all project types and studio disciplines.
