    Position Overview

    H2 Properties is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to take full ownership of our financial systems and help drive operational discipline across our real estate investment business.

    This role is not just bookkeeping — you will own the financial backbone of the company, hold the team accountable to financial discipline, and help ensure our projects run profitably and efficiently.

    Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial System OwnershipTake full ownership of QuickBooks Online and financial workflowsMaintain clean, accurate books across multiple entities and bank accountsEnsure proper coding, categorization, and reconciliation of all transactionsMaintain disciplined financial processes and enforce accounting SOPsWeekly Coding AccountabilityLead Monday check-ins to review unidentified transactionsEnforce company rule: No transaction remains “unknown” for more than two weeksWork directly with team members to resolve missing documentationCentralized Payments & Accounts PayableManage 100% of vendor payments, wires, and accounts payableEnsure all expenses are tracked to the correct PO, project, and entityTransition the company away from decentralized spendingMaintain cash flow visibility and payment accuracyQualifications5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experienceQuickBooks Online expertise (required)Real estate, construction, or development experience strongly preferredExperience with Buildertrend and AppFolio preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple entities and high transaction volumeConfidence to hold others accountable — including ownershipStrong personality and cultural fit with a small team environmentWhat Success Looks Like in This RoleBooks are always clean, accurate, and up-to-dateNo unidentified transactions beyond two weeksBuildertrend fully adopted and synced with accountingVendor payments centralized and controlledPartner deals reconciled accuratelyFinancial visibility improves decision-making across the companyTeam operates with discipline and accountability
